Found a alternative for Matchbox...

Sometimes a video can deeply impact us, tugging at our heartstrings, just like what happened to my wife (@mk992039). During her free time, she came across a video on the internet that shed light on the effects of matchbox usage on the environment. Yes, that’s right, matchboxes. The use of wood as the primary raw material for manufacturing matchboxes has both direct and indirect impacts on the environment.

India alone produces 4 crore matchboxes per day, with one-third of them being consumed domestically. The matchbox industry produces 90 million bundles annually, with each bundle containing 600 matchboxes. Each matchbox consists of 40 to 50 sticks. Due to the nature of the product, the matchbox industry requires strong branding and a well-established distribution network to gain market share.

Every day, billions of matchboxes are used globally for different purposes, such as lighting fireplaces, cooking gas, candles, and cigarettes. The sheer demand for matchsticks is enormous, as fire remains a necessary element in day-to-day life..

As I previously mentioned, this all began with a video on the internet. Upon viewing the video, my initial query was about potential alternatives. Unfortunately, the speaker only highlighted the negative impacts without suggesting any substitutes. Therefore, we conducted research on the internet and stumbled upon a viable alternative.

Rechargeable Electric Arc Lighter

As the video does not provide any alternative so we start searching for same. After some research on internet I found one solution. A Rechargeable Electric Arc Lighter may be the answer if you looking for the alternate. I will not say that it is best solution but this is the solution we found out after searching for some time on internet.

How it works

In normal lighters the liquid or friction is used to start the flame but here as name says an arc (small) produces by the electric charges is used. A battery is used for the electric charge.

As you can see in the above screenshot it has two switches. The user need to slide the slide switch first it it will show the charge available in the battery and then only you will be able to use it by pressing the push button available just beside the sliding switch.

I like it as it is safe if by mistakes goes into hands of any kid. Just by pressing the push button it will not work.

It is wind and splash proof, I have not find any IP ratting mentioned on the box. You an easily use it in bad weather also as the working does not effected by wind or storm.

It also has Intelligent charging circuit, the power cut off automatically for 7 seconds if used for too long time or the temperature goes too high.

It had Rechargeable ,batter just connect the USB Charging Cable with nay mobile charger or with laptop.

I order one for my daily use and found it useful. The build quality is good and working fine. I am not able to comment on the battery life as it will took time for fully discharge so will be able to check only after use for some time.
