The News

It is Christmas tomorrow, so I am going to wish the Hive community all the best regardless of how or if you celebrate this day. It is a time to be thinking about how the year has gone. With COVID still dominating things it has been a strange time, but Hive has been growing and evolving with lots more exciting projects. 2022 promises to be exciting on this blockchain.

I have been generating these charts from @coingecko data and have expanded it to cover the year this time as well as including other coins that might be of interest. Obviously $HIVE is ending the year much better than it started. We shall have to see where it goes, but it is partly up to us in how we promote it and the people we recruit.

Prices

If you had a St--m account then you will also have on on Blurt. If you have not powered those down then you could still have some funds there. You might want to look into extracting those and perhaps consider investing in more $HIVE. I know there is potential to milk the other platforms for extra profit, but I am just focused on this one.

Friday Followings

This time I shall do something different for #FollowFriday. I wanted to list people who have commented the most on my posts. I tried to do this in @hivesql, but I do not think it is quite right. I needed to find comments on my posts, but there does not seem to be a direct link to do that. I settled for checking where the URL implies a reply to me.

As it is Christmas I will not expose anyone this time, but defending Hive is something we can all be part of. You can report abuse to get it dealt with even if you do not want to downvote. As it grows we will see more of that, so stay vigilant.

Thanks for the shout out too! I get this! I also appreciate comments and when I do engage I am pretty authentic. After all we want to grow together and I generally comment on things that interest me. Lately ni have noticed a decline in commentary as well, and some of the comments I get are people blatantly not reading a single wordmon my post. I get comments asking me to enter bthem into a draw, where I am running no draw or competition. Clearly a copy and paste mechanism. Where is cheetah bit and the steemcleaners? We need efforts like that on hive as well. Perhaps there are and I'm just not aware. And now I'm don't with my rant and wish you a happy Christmas! 🎠

I hope you and your family have a really blessed holiday! Don't feel too bad about eating and drinking too much. We are all likely going to be in that position. It's what you do after they are over that count. I will likely slide right back into my workout routine once the festivities are behind us!

SPS will recover, but I have doubts about CubFinance. As far as Cubfinance is concerned, there are products in my opinion that are much superior. It also runs on Binance Smart Chain where there is fierce competition and is also a copy of PancakeSwap for now. I wouldn't want to be wrong, but I believe it needs a strong update to get noticed. What’s your opinion about Cubfinance

Well commenting is a good thing, and I guess your blogs are inviting to comment at (as you also always reply back which is cool) which is not on every blog.

Every now and then I find my blurt account on double post something on there. Honestly, the rewards are not that bad even, and they even were talking about an airdrop for blurt holders on cosmos (atom) and 1 blurt goes on hive engine even. So all in all, not a bad thing, but about the tokenomics how they work I dont really know honestly.

A bit of effort..who knows...like the finance kids have a good option posting in Torum which is also rewarding

I saw something about Blurt offering special avatars, but has there been any other real development? It looks like a few people really milk it, but Hive offers so much more. I don't have time to be dealing with multiple platforms anyway.

Despite all the problems that this year 2021 has brought us, individually I am sure that many of us have had great achievements and have reached several of our goals (either in HIVE or on a personal level). I could say that for that, we deserve to eat a lot and drink too! the reasons abound!

It's been a great year on Hive in spite of everything we not only survived we thrived.

You may notice that many people including me are powering down some Hive to buy up some HBD at 12% it's a great buy.

While its nice to be in a bull run it's sensible to prepare for the coming bear market.

I think the rewards from curation plus what we earn on HP are good enough plus I want to support others, so I'll stay powered up. I've no idea what the markets will do, but I'm playing the long game anyway.

I agree and by playing the long in buying up HBD can have many community benefits long term.

When Hive is more than a dollar it helps to buy HBD as this takes Hive out of the market and it gets burned.

When Hive drops below a dollar and we buy it back thus removing even more Hive from the market.

Of course this is not financial advise. Everyone can do as they please but it's a sensible strategy long term to do the above as well as curation and posting. Cheers !BEER 👍
