What to do on Market Friday ?

IMG_9090 scottish.JPG

Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (Denise, that's me!!) Join me as we share our markets across the globe. I always look forward to seeing what you send me! It is amazing to see the different markets and cultures of our friends here on Hive. Show me what you have this week!

Have you ever wondered if you could use something for a #MarketFriday post? Wonder no more! Rule number one! Go to the market, or ANYWHERE that you pay money for a service. Take pictures! Be creative! You can see that it doesn't have to be a traditional market. It can be a museum, an art class that you paid for, an auction, or a festival of any kind. This is meant to be fun and pull out your creativity. There are so many different ways to do it and places to go. Don't get me wrong! We love markets! This has turned into a wonderful cultural event, so being in those markets! The above shot was from the Scottish Highland Games.

IMG_9211 copy.JPG

These games are built around traditional Highland sports, including the caber toss, tug o' war, and the hammer throw. Pretty exciting when you see one of them tossing a giant tree across the field, by themselves! A Highland games event usually includes Highland dancing and music. Even a set of bagpipes rocking out. No lie! Of course, I lined up for the fish and chips. Yummy!

1-IMG_2141-001 - 2.JPG

Then, #MarketFriday went to a Civil War reenactment. Civil War reenactments go through great efforts to recreate a certain battle or event in Civil War history. I went to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to watch this one. I found it particularly interesting as they set up the camp for the entire week that the battle goes on. I walked through the camp and watched them cook as they did in their time and sleep, practically under the stars. It was a fun #MarketFriday to do!

Chichen Itza was a large pre-Columbian city built by the Maya people. I used information that I found on the internet. If you use something off the internet, please source it. Don't know how to do it? You can ask anyone or you can reach me on discord: @dswigle3637

La Pirámide, known as the Temple of Kukulcán, is a Mesoamerican step-pyramid that dominates the center of the Chichen Itza archaeological site in the Mexican state of Yucatán. The pyramid building is more formally designated by archaeologists as Chichen Itza Structure 5B18. source

chichen itza4 edited.jpg

I love to share and be shared with! I am intrigued by different cultures. It is exciting and yes! I would love to see yours! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be the grocery store, the local marketplace, even an art gallery, or a kite festival! Wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise.

A fishing charter, where you pay a fee and they take you out deep sea fishing. It is quite sporting way out there and the fish are a bit more challenging. So, to be clear, there are many ways to meet the challenge. They are pretty wide parameters for you to be in.

IMG_2454.JPG

Another different #MarketFriday, but, who doesn't love to be a little bit different? But, then, I love being practical too. So there is no right or wrong here, just what drives you that week. I love to share and be shared with! I have always and forever liked to see different fruits and vegetables or products that are being sold. Perhaps I cannot get them here. So, yes! I would love to see yours! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be in the grocery store, the local marketplace, or even an art gallery. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise. Be different if you wish! It does not have to be a traditional market! Don't forget to use the hashtags #MarketFriday and @dswigle. If you are not sure of something, feel free to ask me.

Center Crest.png

You get the point, right? People don't need to go to the grocery store to participate. You also should not feel pressured if you have nothing. We'll be here next week and the week after. We have been here for five years, we aren't likely to go anywhere for a while. I hope you will join us as we share the different markets. It has been such a pleasure to see markets from all over the world. Who doesn't love to see what they are selling? There is always a curiosity attached to foreign ingredients, different produce, or any product sold. So, yes! I would love to see yours! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be in the grocery, art galleries, or wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise.

Please leave the link to your post here so it can easily be found by others. It helps you and me to have them in one place. Where else can you take such a quick trip around the globe? Thank you so much for joining us!! ❤

And just like that, this post is done. As a last thought, I hate to even address this, but, it would be a nice gesture to read a few #MarketFriday posts. As much as you like comments and a little upvote on yours, other people do also. That is the whole point of a community. Yes? As always, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit, and just remember, #MarketFriday loves you! Thank you for supporting the challenge! Have a fabulous day! Cheers!!

I'm always impressed by how kind and generous you are @dswigle.
Gosh! I love the Civil War reenactment, it was an event I wouldn't miss if we have one here in our place.
The pyramid that was built by the Mayan people was so cool.

Thank you for the kind comments!

I love the Civil War Reenactments, I live in the Washington, DC area, so we have a lot of those kinds of events. The pyramid was so cool!!!! I loved it! It was in Mexico and I have been there twice, each time was just awesome.

Well, if you catch one, you can take it. If you don't, I would say you are out of luck, but, I always share my extra with people that get none. I like it fresh plus most of the charters here where I live, my cousins own a few boats and I always get to hop on for free. :)

Glad you could stop by.

Those are all cool ways of taking part in marketfriday. I never thought of it in this ways. I'll have to keep stuff like that in mind. The highland games and civil war reenactment would both be really neat to see.

They are both super cool and I go to them every year, except during covid when they were canceled. Keep in mind the thoughts that museums, art galleries, and even auctions. They are all markets. When I go to another country, I feel like it is a cultural market. :)

It just thinking outside the box. I have been doing it for five years, I had to!

Plus, it would get to be boring otherwise and we cannot have that! Do you know what I mean? I am glad you stockpiled some of your trips! Yay! We can look forward to them for a good long while! That is excellent! Are you looking forward to getting back into your career?

Anyway, just a few random shots, but, the entire bunch was pretty incredible. The highland games are the same. Sheep herding and shearing contests, fiddle competitions, and of course, bagpipes and dancing all day. I am going to a balloon competition in a few days. I love interactive festivals or contests.

Thanks for stopping in and leaving your words! Oh, the lift? I was thinking the difference in the number of people would be a counterweight, but there is only one lift. Perhaps a braking system so it isn't too fast? Anyway...

Those events sound really cool. The extra photos are definitely neat to see.

Are you looking forward to getting back into your career?

Yeah I'm looking forward to it. The work I was doing here wasn't meaningful at all to me. It was just something to make a bit of extra cash and keep busy. So it will be nice to do something that is enjoyable and more rewarding.

I mentioned shepherd and shepherding in my post. The shepherd, as a metaphor for one who cares and who guides. I thought of you and how you care for this community... Of course, there is also the punitive side to the shepherd and almost full power over the flock. It doesn't fit here anymore.
I hope my poor English doesn't play tricks on me and something else comes through. I know you'll tell me if that happens...

So, once again it was fitting, once again we had a similarity of ideas, because you, in your post today are guiding participants, showing a path for them to follow when they want to post on #marketfriday.
You do very well, it's a great help for everyone to understand how broad the concept is and that they can basically write about anything. Because everything is for sale, one way or another. Some forms are more subtle but the pleasure remains to discover them.

Then the urge to read and have our say and support our colleagues in this challenge. Absolutely mandatory if we want this challenge to be true and to have life. More than that, but all the more true and valuable, you set the highest example of how it should be done. In fact, this is also your main obligation as initiator and moderator of the community and challenge. You understood this first and that's why #MarketFriday has been around for so many years and is still successful. Others didn't understand and their challenges died out, their communities are no longer alive.

I thank you for this and many more!

My post this week can be an example of how you can "beat the plains" but fall within the rules required by #marketfriday.

About Children, Creativity, Park, Family, Celebration, Rain...

Hi, Dan! @bluemoon

Your English isn't bad at all, I know exactly what you meant with the shepherd. I even know what you meant that it doesn't fit anymore, meaning, I am not like that. :) I understand you. Honest. When I don't, I ask you and you explain further.

I had a post almost complete, but, there were so many new people saying they could not post because no food market. I just wanted to let them know that it doesn't have to be food, however, most of those people don't read my post, just drop a link and run. I am not sure what to do about that. I don't obligate anyone to read my post, but, one day, I am going to put something in there. Probably not, but, I think about it.

I have a hard time pushing supporting each other and making them understand. They don't even read this. They don't answer back when I tell some to drop the link and give directions and a link to click on! I still end up going there and doing their post as they work on it and I don't want to punish them, but, I need some cooperation for it to keep going. I am not about the money, but simply dropping the link helps. It shows also that people are doing something to make it work. Right? Or am I being ridiculous? I never worry about yours, you do so much to participate, but the ones that nobody knows? They need to mix in to make themselves known.

I knew it would be a commitment because it is not about the money (thank goodness!) it worked out okay for me. I am really quite honored that people like yourself are so dedicated in supporting the challenge. It truly warms my heart and I thank you very much. I never think twice if you don't/cannot post in it. Sometimes I don't. LOL

I am sure it is a wonderful post, Dan! @bluemoon Thank you!

I'm glad I said what I said correctly. I don't mean to say anything offensive to anyone, but especially to you. But I remain afraid that I may use the wrong word or expression or one whose meaning I do not understand. If somehow something offends me, I can, at most, not respond or comment. That's why I ask you once again to let me know if you find something badly said.

I know how hard it is to keep this challenge at this level and I know it is unpleasant to see that some participants do not understand the minimal obligation they have to read and respect the rules, to read and respect your recommendations. Unfortunately, a beginner has a harder time understanding what to do. I think you have to behave like a teacher, in time you realize who deserves help, and encouragement and who does not. I think you have to behave differently, maybe some people need that. I say my opinion as a friend, I do not know if it is good but I wish you would work less with this challenge.

Thanks again for the kind words, have a great weekend!

That is good! Then, you can schedule it and not worry about it. I am never that ahead! I made a whole post about it as it is a pretty cool site!

I had to travel hours and hours to the interior part but, it was so worth it. I had never seen anything like it at the time, but, now, I look for them when I am in Central America or South America. Archeology and History are amazing. I have to wonder how they were able to achieve so much, it makes me feel like we haven't really come that far at all.

How on earth do they lift those heavy stones? And their scientific knowledge?

Amazing! Enjoy your day and thanks for coming @nickydee

Of course, I lined up for the fish and chips. Yummy!

Speaking of fish, today I am staying at home, watching funny videos from Shammi. For example the When you love Fishing! pt.2.

I am trying to relax/rest in a very stressful life situation, and these videos always make laugh.

Well, I am glad you are trying to relax. Unfortunately, you will be having to make some hard choices. Would they lock up the house while you are at work if you are not vacated? They would here, but I am not sure what they do there if anything.

That is good that you are able to. I have been off here a lot lately with different issues, but, hope to catch up soon on your situation and where you are with it. Try to relax and look into different places for yourself.

Creepy, I just had a dream the other night about a guy playing bag pipes. It was bizarre. We have a college down the road that does a highland festival each year. I think they mascot is the Scots, so it kind of makes sense. A lady I used to work with teaches some of the dancing classes and her daughters are very involved in the highland dance team. Awesome stuff!

wow Denise, such a beautiful and massive construction that we call a pyramid.
and these powerful columns.
so you saw and photographed the Chichen Itza in Mexico?
such a dream to see this construction.

I visited the southern Fisherman beach early morning today. Photographed the small laguna with the parked boats and the fishermen returned from the sea and pulled fish out of nets. Nothing special and actually wasn't something to pay for, the only fresh but already dead fish. I remember this beach, from my visit there 6 years ago. it was less tidied up but more original. Now it lost this originality and the magic as well.

Chichen Itza is one of the best examples of the Mayan culture. It is too bad I took less care in taking pictures. I knew little about the light in the hot desert-like environment at the time. You would definitely do it justice. I hope you get there someday, but, the ruins you see in your life are always amazing. I have been to Chichen Itza two times. That part of Mexico and many other areas too have a rich history. I am still amazed and have to wonder how the construction even happened. Their knowledge of architecture, math skills, meteorology? Stunning.

I read about your visit to Fisherman beach and smiled knowing full well that the grittier, real sight would have pleased you more. Still, I hope you posted it today, I will wander over in a little bit.

Thanks for stopping by, Victor! @victorbz

I was too busy at work and with many other nice events here in the center of the country and in the north. Actually, it was also too hot 33-36C all the time, and I prefer to walk there when rainy or windy or something extremely different from the boring burning everything sun.
not expresso but good original (not really growed here 😀😀😀) coffee with cardamon :-)

Now, that much is true! It has been too hot to do anything out in the sun or walk too much. We did get consistent rain to cool things off for a moment or three, but, then in the end, it made it more humid.

Ah! Yes! It was the cardamon that made is so special. I couldn't think of what it was. Enjoy! It is 5 am, so you will be leaving soon.

I'll be going to bed soon, dreaming of coffee with cardamon. :)

It was a little bit difficult to go out of the bad at 6 AM, so I went out to Jerusalem around 12 and returned back right now close to 23 :-)
it was such a wonderful walk and relaxation time, even very hot - around 33C.

Noon? :)) Well, you went in the heat of the day! Very hot. It was 32C here today, so I concur- too hot.

I went to Pennsylvania today (another State up) and it was cooler there, and beautiful. It is farms and such up there. Another whole country where the Amish culture is alive and well. It is late and so I will check you out tomorrow! I hope you posted today. :)

Goodnight from here.

Wow! It seems like you've really had some fun doing this post! It's an awesome post showing what you can come up with and the variety if, like you always say, just think out of the box...

I love the Civil War reenactment. I would love to attend something like that. I love visiting museums and monuments related to our local history as well.

You can find my post for this week here.

I went through my HIVE account yesterday and that is only when I saw that I received Hive from you after a post of mine somewhere around 15 July. I missed that and I apologize for not acknowledging it. But rather late than never...Thank you so much, I do appreciate it!

Oh, don't be silly. I just slide little rewards in now and then and so easy to get lost as it isn't enough to cause a double take. :) But, thank you. You know it is more than fun to do that.

I love the reenactments too. I go every year and try to go to different sites of battle, for a different perspective. I really liked this one in Gettysburg and there is the Battle of Bull Run was the last one I went to. I didn't put very many examples, just enough to give people an idea. I didn't want to bore them to death or cause them to not finish my too-long post! :) Many don't even read it, just drop their links! LOL

Thank you for dropping your link! You know how much I appreciate it! I hope you are ready for the weekend! The image below is the Battle of Gettysburg.

So this is the Battle of Gettysburg you say! I think it must be so interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing this!

It's sad if people just drop a link and not even read your post... I didn't think your post is too long at all.

I felt like I was just really getting interested and I was at the end already. When I saw the word count, I couldn't believe it. It didn't feel long at all.

On top of that, even if you write a long post, it was to everybody's benefit. Someone who struggles to come up with content could pick up on so many tips and ideas from reading your work... And it's not only this post. Since I started reading your posts, I'm also learning with every post of yours that I read.

I take note of what you write about and how you do it and how you structure it. Thank you for the opportunity that you have created here for us to share our work, @dswigle! I appreciate it!

It is actually short this week. :) I am a little eclectic in structure. :) I will admit to that. It sort of makes you have to pay attention as I don't follow a pattern all the time. Crazy, right?

I do hope that more engage, they don't realize how much more pleasure they will get from doing/reading posts if they do. Thank you for your great support! It doesn't go unnoticed!

In all honesty...the length of a post is actually one of the last things I ever look at. Does a post have a message for me? Is it interesting? Does it have any meaning...any impact? Yes, there are times when we need to consider the length...As it is one of the rules you mention too. Posting 100 photos with no written text don't really mean much.

But if you have a strong message and you can deliver it with 50 words...so be it. Maybe next week, you'll need 1050 words to get the message across.

I suppose that is why I enjoy reading your posts. It's not about following a pattern, but it's interesting and it has an impact. Crazy? If people want to call that crazy...well, so be it.

I better stop now...I can write a whole post about this...LOL!

And what you say about engaging is also very true. In all honesty...I want to improve my engagement. I tend to micromanage everything and thus overload myself sometimes (often actually...lol) with activity and then I don't get around to doing all I want to do.

But I'm busy working on that, looking at what I can eliminate in order to be able to pay more attention to what I believe really matters.

Enjoy your day, @dswigle

@jacoalberts See? You get it! The length never bothers me, until this week. I am actually pretty forgiving on the length and what is posted. I had a one picture post with a write up that said basic nothing, wouldn't have thought it was a market post. That cannot be a habit as they teach each other how to do it. Can you make that work? You an, they didn't. There are communities on the platform where that is encouraged and even normal. Most times, it wouldn't be here, but there are the less is best mentality that I am trying to discourage.

Then again, well placed verbage will never go out of style.

I am honestly looking to grow these newbies, stronger accounts make it a win all the way around. It's not a hustle, nor have I ever seen anyonesst that treats it like one. Building takes time and patience, good things come to those that can wait. I also understand that there is a financial need at times.

I think you are doing great and I do understand as I sometimes have trouble making it out of my own comment section.

Thanks so much for your feedback! Hope you are having a wonderful evening!

Everything you say here is making perfect sense. Even about the "one picture post with a write up that said basic nothing...". That is a typical example of having no impact...no meaning.

Building takes time and patience, good things come to those that can wait.

I agree with you 100%!

Thank you for providing us all with this opportunity to share out work and to learn in the process. And thank you, @dswigle, for your support, uplifting feedback, and communication every week!

Such a very informative post Denise 🤓 it will help the newbies for sure come up with ideas.
Great to see re-enactments. They are cool to visit especially when they are a week long.

The temple is just stunning… one day I visit some Maya temples 😎

Beautiful captures, I love the flowers 🌸 wonderful and bright.
I did manage to join in today.
Will have a look around later this evening. Will pack the last boxes first 😉🤓📦📦

I was hoping to help some of the newbies who think it is only about the food markets, which it can be, but, it doesn't have to be. I want to give them more choices if they get bored with the other. After doing this for five years, I needed to spread it out a few years back. Actually, I spread out long ago, but, anyway.

It is actually in the rules and I have even done other posts on it. Some don't even read the post, just drop the link. So they never know anything about it. Some decide it is a good place to put a post and never read the guidelines. :) It is for them, not me. I just try to educate them so they can do well and grow here on the Platform.

Yes! Pack woman!! I will catch up with you later. Enjoy being done with your boxes!!!! Thank you always for your huge support with #MarketFriday!

I soooo understand. Have seen it in your rules and many times in the posts too. It was now more obvious I think. 🤓 what is good ones in a while.
For those that do read your posts and are interested in truly joining in it does help to remind them and give info to the engaging newbies.
I know also some don’t read any posts and do what they want.

Would it maybe help if I put the rules in my #MarketFriday posts too? Some don’t click further to your post even though I list it for more info. I did see some friends joining in.

Yes… it’s for the others 😉🤓 as Hive is a team!

Thank you so much dear Denise. I’m so happy to be here and be a part of the community and also it’s always nice to talk to you 😉😊💃🏻

Enjoy your day further 😉👋🏻 @dswigle it’s weekend! ☀️🤩

We will see how it all turns out. They will engage or not, it is up to them and to their benefit.

You can put the rules in if you want, don't feel obligated to though. I think they see rules and skip it. LOL

I am so very happy you are here! I hope you get some rest before you have to pack it all up to move once again!

Happy weekend!

Thank you so much Denise 🤗🥰 we probably only unpack day to day things. Everything else I keep boxed. As we have no idea at the moment when the next move will be. This temporarily rental is fully furnished. So no need to unpack. Saves me loads of time and work too hahaha

Today we collect the keys at 1400h we move some paintings, plants and other breakables. The movers come Monday 📦🚛😎 exciting times yay 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

We cleaned the old rental also today. So only keys to return at 900am tomorrow morning 🤓😎

Hi Denise. I actually went out earlier today and got some goodies, I should have taken photos. I'll remember for next time. I absolutely love thrifting for useful things, I would consider it almost an addiction lol.

Haha! I could show you my house and tell you where I got some of the furniture and then you would know my addiction! :)

To be honest, they made furniture, especially tables so much better yesteryear! I take pictures all the time when I am out. I never know when I might need a random cow or even a vineyard... You just never know.

Probably why my posts are so eclectic. LOL

Once you start taking pictures like that, it becomes addictive! I even take pictures of my dinners! LOL No lie! Homemade lasagne, I even made the noodles. Woo hoo. Everyone is so spoiled in this house.

It is fun to step outside the box. Having done this for five years, I had to step outside the box years ago. :) I just wasn't sure (even though it is in the description and the guidelines) that people always know they don't have to do a traditional market. Of course, I like them too, but, sometimes change is good for a person.

Oh, you are Scottish too? How cool! I sent another set or three of bagpipes!

Make quality posts. You can see when you read what looks like a good post that was thought about and one that was thrown out there. Find a few topics that you like and post about them. Engaging will definitely help.

The funny thing is I post the guidelines on every post and even in my comments to their post. I have done so for five years. The trouble is, a lot of the new people don't read the post, just drop the link and run, so they never know.

I try to read the guidelines before I post in case there are rules.

I really hope it does make a difference for some. Of course, we love a food market always, just trying to give people more things to consider.

Thank you so much! You are so sweet with your words!

So I showed them three different markets that I have used (they are endless!) After five years of doing #MarketFriday, I can still come up with something. Who knew? I wasn't sure I could.

Just remember!

This has turned into a wonderful cultural event!!

It is always fun to think of something that will work. I have been doing the challenge for five years and I am still finding new ways to make it work. Once, I even used a cruise! :)) Even Carlsbad Caverns National Park has more than 119 limestone caves! This was a quick shot that I pulled up. I even did the Grand Canyon. So many things can be used!

Good luck and thank you for your interest!

This was a wonderful mix, Denise... I love that action shot of the piper... his kilt swirling, the exertion of breath and concentration quite palpable. And the civil war re-enactment looks like they put a lot of time and money into it... fascinating to be witness to that... here in England at some of the castles in the summer, you can go and watch re-enactments of the middle ages and see jousting tournaments between knights and they even fling flaming balls through the air using those giant catapults !LOLZ ... it's great to have history played out in front of you in an engaging manner like that! !ALIVE

I am really glad that you are not a stickler about what we can use for Market Friday. I really think having fun with it should be of top importance. I know I routinely stretch wide what the original Market Friday ideal was, but I do certainly keep the spirit of the challenge the best I can!

Haha! No, I am truly not a stickler! Having fun should be the name of the game, but, also I find that our culture is a market of sorts. It is one of life's markets. So we all enjoy that part of it.

Fortunately you're an expert photographer and managed to capture that image of the man playing the bagpipes just before his kilt went all the way up.

I'm sure the Mayans had their festival back in the old days. Like live music too.
What if modern days music like the one i witness go powerless. Be like Mayans or flashdance.

The log throwing is for sure something I would want to see, enjoy the bagpipes and dancing and of course the fish and chips.

I don't know if you have seen it but there was a video circulating online of a woman climbing that step pyramid. From what I have read on the comments, they used to do that until accidents started happening so they banned anyone going up there. When that woman came down from the pyramid, another woman was angry at her for doing that even throwing something at one point. The reaction of the netizens was mixed.

You used to be able to climb up until a woman fell down the stairs to her death. After that, climbing was banned. It wasn't until the woman died that they took it away, although there were many people that had small falls.

The log throwing was amazing! I cannot believe they picked up a whole tree and tossed it! :))

Hey, you!

It's good though that climbing was banned to avoid further incidents like that.

I can only imagine the work it takes for them to do that from picking it up, balancing and then tossing it! Mindblowing lol!

Yes, this was indeed a unique and different Market Friday post, @dswigle. And for that reason it was a fun read. But also, globe, hopping around the different locations in the examples you gave really made me want to travel! I would love to see the Highland Games!

Throwing a cat among the pigeons with so many ideas here Denise.

Almost a case of what don't we pay money for of late, witnessing cultural variety is the spice of life.

Late to comment, sending a touch of Sunday !LUV

Isn't that the truth, Joan?! @joanstewart Exactly the point, I guess. Some could not imagine a market without food, but, in fact, isn't our world a market of cultures? It certainly captures my attention.

Always just on time, my friend. I'm so behind lately, you could probably catch up with me next week. :) Happy Sunday! I hope it was lovely. Of course,

@eyewaa Welcome to #MarketFriday! I encourage you to read the guideline, in case you already hadn't.

Thank you for dropping your link!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive or cheap? Did it go up or down? Please do not post 30 pictures with no words about them.Do not use pictures more than once in a post!
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess on some
    4. #MarketFriday must be your first tag.
Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
    5. PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  4. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.
As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

Hi Denise! It was lovely to see the different cultures you have featured in this week's Market Friday. I have never seen such bagpipers in person.. is that true what they say that those wearing Kilts do not have undies? I can't imagine it since if the wind blows their Kilt, that would be embarrassing. I love the way you've tried to show users that Market Friday post should not only be the traditional market..

Here is wishing you a great new week ahead! Stay safe and don't work too hard! Love you...@mers

Hi @mers! I wish I could give you the right answer for the kilts, but I actually don't know. I will take it upon myself to do some research on it though. Don't thank me, i'ts my pleasure! Lol!

I hope all is well with you! Thanks for stopping in and leaving your words!

Lololols!
I have English neighbors in Andalusia and they always joke about the Kilt wearer that it is a tradition not to wear underneath so the girls watching on the street would giggle and pray that the wind would swift their kilts....Hahaha.
