HPUD | 1 October 2022 | Quick Update!
Amazing things happening here in England: on top of increased energy prices and the cost of living crisis, our brand new Chancellor, Kwasi Kwarteng, tanked the economy last Friday. Quite a feat! The Bank of England stepped in on Wednesday to prevent the country becoming insolvent. Blimey, I've heard of not balancing the books, but not quite on this scale. Liz Truss seems to be austerity with bells and whistles. If ever it was time to look elsewhere (or indeed, hope you had some resources elsewhere), this must be it and, right on cue, it's Hive Power Up Day.

It's been quite a week for the SPinvest family, too:

- return on EDS tokens pushing 32% this week.
Truly amazing week for @eddie-earner and EDS - a very unassuming little token with a low cost of entry and now over 70,000 HIVE POWER working away creating wealth.
Not bad for me either: I'm sitting at number 214 largest HIVE POWER holder. Yay!

You may be able to buy some EDSMM on the market - there will be people who want to sell as time goes by. CL is good, too, as there are still a lot to issue for that (you know there is a monthly buy)?

I did have some savings put away for Hive when I started. I knew blockchain was important and Hive was an ideal opportunity to learn about it. I have been able to inject some other lump sums of cash now and then, all windfalls, so not budgeted for something else and, of course, I benefited from the HIVE hard fork.
But the remainder (the bulk of it), has been slow and steady saving and investing. About half has been about setting aside a small amount of disposable income each week (what people might spend on a daily takeout coffee, for example) and DCA-ing HIVE (and before that STEEM) on a Saturday each week. I think that took me about two years 😂.
There are so many opportunities on Hive: look at the latest LARYNX and RAGNAROK airdrops - just from holding stake!
It's great to see new people coming in and starting to build here. Good luck with your journey!
