Solos Weekly Picks - Hivefest
With just a few days away from Hive's first annual event called Hivefest, I found many great posts talking about it. There is alot of excitement and anticipation for this event. @roelandp has worked very hard getting it all set up in an VR environment. I had the opportunity to attend one the pre-events called Pre-Pump III and now looking forward to attending the official event in the next few days on December 18th and 19th.

@bflanagin talks about how they are checking out altspace before the upcoming event on December 18th and 19th. Had an conversation with a Russian while checking out the platform. @bflanagin also talks about his experience with the user interface on altspacevr which is where Hivefest will be hosted. By not using a headset it changes how you interact with the environment. And hes looking forward to exploring the NFT Showroom art display that will be a part of the event.

@carlagonz took some time and explored the Altspacevr world before the event started and checked out the campfire snow world along with a few other ones in the virtual reality space. I myself checked out one of them and saw how busy the public spaces can be. Pretty cool there is always people online there. A few other worlds were explored as well such as one representing mario bros. Amazing the details people have put into some of the worlds.

@silviabeneforti talks about their previous experiences with Steemfest2 that happenen in Lisbon and how great of an experience it was. They met alot of cool people from around the world and are looking forward to doing the same this year virtually on Hivefest. It was cool to see @steevc in one of the photos as that is someone I know from the blockchain.

Making a donation to Hivefest is a way to help support @roelandp and the event he is setting up. Alot of time has been spent setting everything up and costs for infrastructure should be considered that he paid for. By giving a donation you can help offset some of those costs. I gave a small donation via a tip on one of his event pages but you can also send HBD using the registration page. @aljif7 asks if they can send Hive instead of HBD, and doing this by sending directly to @hivefest. As far as know that should be fine but best to ask @roelandp about it if you want an answer for sure.

See yall on Friday and Saturday, my good friend and new Hive dolphin @whangster79 will be joining me. So looking forward to introducing him and meeting many other people at the event. Its only a few days away and I am getting quite excited for my first virtual meetup for Hive. And being a part of history attending Hivefest1 being its the first one ever that is officially hosted. There is even a chance I may be speaking at the NFT Showroom art displays about the style transfer art I create though this not still in the worlds and not confirmed yet.
