I'm planning to do an official "Graffiti Lettering Contest" graffiti as a main logo at some point, but if anyone feeling fancy giving it a go or doing some digital art for it feel free to do so and I'll be happy to have a look and use it as our main logo!

Contest Overview

As you can probably guess from the title the contest is about Graffiti and Lettering, my idea is to give a random "word" every couple of weeks and the participants will have to make a nice Graffiti Lettering of the word on paper (or in any way they want really, it can be drawn, painted, sprayed on a wall, you can do what you want! If you feeling fancy you can do a proper graffiti on a wall and it will surely gets extra votes 😎 at least from me 😋 ), make a quick post about it and comment their entry under the Contest Post!

I am planning to do this at least 2 times a month in this way:

  • I will post the Contest Post with the random word and participants will have time until payout (7 days) to submit their entries.
  • Once the Contest Post gets paid I will then do a Voting Post where participants and users can vote for their preferred entries, (3 votes per person - anyone can vote, not only participants!)
    Similarly to the Contest Post the Voting Post will be up and running until Payout (7 days)
  • Then I will post the next Contest Entry but at the beginning of the post I will announce the winners of the previous entry and send out payments (with screenshot proof)! Then I will dive into the next word and contest!

Hope it all makes sense!

Sometimes I may delay the posts by one day or two, when that happens please forgive me, life gets busy at time! Cheers :).



The word for today is...
SHOW

Why? I don't really know, but I always ask some help to my girlfriend and last time at the #11 I did not have any idea about the word and I asked her to give me a list of words to use, this week I went back to that list and the word I liked the most was SNOW, I started working with that but I couldn't get a nice N so I quickly switched it to an H and changed the word to SHOW! Hope you like it, there's great potential with this letters IMHO, especially the starting S and ending W 😎 Good luck to you all, really curious to see your works! 💯

  • Your work can be done in any way you prefer, draw it on paper, draw it digitally, draw it on your table, paint it, spay it, do a real graffiti on a wall, totally up to you! I did this contest with the idea of a quick lettering on paper in my mind but how you do it is totally up to you!

  • Must be your original work (or someone's close to you, yes if you suck at drawing but have a friend or relative who wants to help you feel free to use them LOL In case you do make sure to reference them, don't use their work as yours 😂)

  • One entry per person

  • Post your entry post and the picture of your art under the Contest Post to officialise your entry! Please make sure to do this step so I don't miss any entry when I create the voting post!

  • Entry expires with the post so you have 7 days to post your entry.

I see, thanks for your input, I like the puppet but I'm not a fan of the lettering 😅

Also I would prefer to have like a drawing or something done manually to use instead of the banner I am using now, I don't want to swap an autogenerated banner with another autogenerated, If you get what I mean 😅

Sorry I don't want to bring you down, I really appreciated your input but I think it does not fully represent the contest and the creativity that I want to inspire with it

Hello there,

First of all I want to thank @trippymane for this COOL contest, I really love the idea.
Today I saw this post and without hesitation I made this Graffiti on my phone using Sketchbook application (I didn't work on it that much since today is the last day for submission and didn't have that much time)

As for this, let me tell you, if you did this one without working on it that much then I cannot wait to see what you'll SHOW (lol) us when you'll have a full 7 days time 😎

Let me give you a big welcome to my Contest! I will add you to the tag list from tomorrow that I post the Voting Post for this round 😎

Let's go through everything in a clear way (I'll try ahah english is not my main language and sometimes I may tend to overcomplicate simple concepts lol)

  • For the Logo Banner it's really is up to you what to do, I will definitely consider a nice GLC with Graffiti Lettering Contest under, or you can do just GLC, or GRAFFITI LETTERING CONTEST, you know if it's banging it's banging even with just 3 letters 😎 And thanks a lot for offering to work on it! Really appreciated, I never got around to do it unfortunately :(

  • How it will be used my contest runs in 2 different "epochs" ,7 days for the Active Post where people participate and 7 days for the Voting Post where everyone can vote for the participants of the Active Post, the banner will be basically used instead of the current one, so it will be the Main Thumbnail of the Voting Post every week and first picture on both posts, I usually use my work for the Thumbnail of the Active Post (even if I don't actively participate I still like to drop some graffiti shit lol) but if your work will be very good I may use your banner as the Main Thumbnail on both posts 😎

PS: Do I need to post it on ecency?

Not necessarily, I do offer Ecency points too within the contest and the only way to use them is through Ecency but you can post from any frontend you like and then just login to Ecency to use the points when needed :)
If you're planning to do a post about this work of yours then comment again here and tag me so I'll make sure to Reblog and vote (even if my votes are low xD but I like to do it anyway) but also if you don't have time to do it don't stress, for this time I can use this comment as your entry, you found the contest just today and I do not think anyone will mind :) There are rules but I'm not being a dictator with them 🤣
