Token Burning-Alive,Actifit,Games: October 25 2022

The rising sun seemed like a fitting beginning for today's post in which I'll share a few pictures from Tuesday, some highlighted token burning Hive activities, and my Actifit Report Card.

The Alive Chat topic for Tuesday is the ALIVE Burning Contest. I use the #ALIVE tag on these daily posts and burn 3-6 ALIVE tokens to promote each post on the Alive Tribe interface https://wearealiveand.social/. Burning Alive tokens grants me upvotes and each token burned is a ticket for the weekly Burning Contest. The winners get staked ALIVEM which I am happy to accumulate. This week I had 27 tickets for the contest, congratulations to the winners!

Token burning is an interesting phenomenon of crypto projects, and I spent some time today reading and researching what token burning is and why we do it. My basic understanding is that reducing the supply of tokens impacts value. With the benefit of burning ALIVE tokens clear, I decided to take a look at other burning opportunities across tokens I'm interested in.

This is my 105th Actifit report and unfortunately, I missed my 10,000 step daily target by about 400 steps. I had planned to get those last few hundred steps in after I put my daughter to sleep, but I fell asleep and when I woke up it was past midnight. I aim for 10,000 steps for max AFIT rewards on these Actifit reports. Building up my AFIT stake has many benefits, as does burning/exchanging the AFIT tokens for Upvotes.

I play Rising Star daily, usually rocking for Starbits at the Shopping Mall on the Local Gig Circut. But today, I did some Music Promoter missions where we burn STARBITS for STARPRO.

In Splinterlands i'm playing in Bronze 1 this season. My goal is to try to get 10 chests per day. After playing a few battles I took a look at my current liquid SPS, and burned some for DEC.

After harvesting some BUDS and sending my avatars to raid, I burned some BUDS for MOTA. There was a recent announcement about changes to MOTA, I'm interested to see what happens and don't mind accumulating a little bit at this time.

Finally, one of the most fun ways to burn a token is the Burning Za PIZZA Arcade Paint Game where we burn PIZZA to paint pixels. Every month a snapshots taken and NFT minted. https://arcade.hive.pizza/

This post ends with a sunset. It was interesting to see the burning opportunities for the different token projects I engage with, and the different incentives for doing so.
