InLeo Delegation Tiers - I have reached Tier 2 - How much HP do I have to delegate to get the free Premium?

On 02/07/2024 with this post @leofinance announced the introduction of Delegation Tiers. A system of incremental rewards for those who meet certain requirements.

I have decided to join and I want to explain my choice.

Why I like LeoFinance

Leofinance is one of the most famous communities on the Hive blockchain. It has its own front-end called Inleo and its own second-level token LEO.
Leofinance is a community that deals with investments, cryptocurrencies, finance, economics, blockchain and savings. All topics that interest me a lot (I am above all a fan of saving). There are also other communities that deal with these topics, but on Leofinance I have often found good quality, comprehensive and well-written articles.
The team behind the project has been able to grow the LEO token in value over the years and constantly promote it. A significant detail in a period of bear market.

I have always been a member of the Olio di Balena community to which I still feel connected, but at the moment I want to try to write articles in English (also for improve my knowledge of the language a little) and focus more on the quality of the contents rather than the quantity. That's why I started using Inleo as a front-end and Leofinance as a community. To try to arrive and participate in a discussion forum that I admire and where there are expert users to discuss with.

What I will do

1- First of all, I will check when the next season will end, to understand when the time will be when I will start playing again;
2- I will look for a deck to rent to play. The ideal would be a deck that has a reasonable rental cost and allows me to add the Silver league quite easily. In this league my staked SPS allow me to provide me with a decent multiplier, without having to resort to proxies. I think it might be fine to start with;
3- I will no longer delegate my SPS and I will liquidate the DEC Pool on Tribaldex in order to have DECs with which to rent the deck;
4- I will start playing again, hoping to have fun, maybe win and, why not, earn something;

My HP proxy

Until 02/07/2024 almost all my HP were delegated to the @ecency account. Econcy rewarded me with an interest in HIVE of around 9-10%. As long as I stayed away from Hive, I was fine with it. I earned some money and supported other authors who earned through votes on the @ecency account.
However, things change when @leofinance announces the introduction of Delegation Tiers. An incremental rewards system for those who delegate HP to the @leo.voter account and meet some particular requirements:

1. Delegate HP to your @leo.voter account: By delegating HP to this account, you receive a reward in liquid LEO tokens of approximately 13% per year. That means 3-4% more @ecency.
2. Switch to Staked on the Dashboard: By connecting to the InLeo Dashboard (LINK), you can click on the "Switch to Stake" button. From that moment, the rewards from the delegation will be received in LEO staked tokens, but with an average interest of 20% instead of 13%.
3. Be a Premium user: If you have met the first two requirements and are a Premium user of Inleo, you will receive Staked LEO tokens as a reward for delegating HP at 22% interest instead of 20%.

It is a very interesting system that strengthens LEO's position by providing greater rewards but in Staking. I refer you to the Leofinance post (link) for all the technical details.

I am not a Premium user and I cannot afford to be. The premium costs 10 HBD per month, a figure I can't afford. However I am happy to exchange my 10% in HIVE from @ecency for a 20% in staked LEO. This because:

• Leofinance is an interesting, quality community where I would like to grow;
• The work team has been able to work well and I trust it will continue to do so in the future;
• I can keep the LEO staked tokens or delegate them to other projects;

How much HP do I have to delegate to get the Premium gift?

In writing this post, out of curiosity, I felt like calculating approximately how many HP I should delegate to @leo.voter in order to get back an amount of staked LEO equal to the cost of the Premium.

Let's start with some assumptions:

• Premium costs 10 HBD per month, i.e. 120 HBD per year. Given 1 HBD = $1, that's $120 per year.
• Being a Premium user allows us to earn 2% more per year from our HP delegation. At this point we know that to obtain $120 in interest at a rate of 2% we must delegate 120/2% = $6,000.
• Currently the price of an HIVE is around $0.30, therefore, to have an equivalent value of $6,000, we will have to delegate around 6000/0.30 = 20,000 HP.

This is a figure I will probably never own, but I was curious to calculate it.

Ho deciso di aderire e voglio spiegare la mia scelta.

Perchè mi piace LeoFinance

Leofinance è una delle più famose comunità sulla blockchain Hive. Ha un suo front-end che si chiama Inleo e un suo token di secondo livello LEO.
Leofinance è una community che tratta di investimenti, cryptovalute, finanza, economia, blockchain e risparmio. Tutti temi che mi interessano molto ( sono sopratutto un fan del risparmio). Ci sono anche altre community che trattano questi argomenti, ma su Leofinance mi è capitato spesso di torvare articoli di buona qualità, esaurienti e scritti bene.
Il team dietro al progetto ha saputo negli anni far crescere di valore il token LEO e promuoverlo costantemente. Un dettaglio non da poco in un periodo di bear market.

Sono sempre stato un membro della community Olio di Balena a cui mi sento comunque legato, ma in questo momento voglio provare a scrivere articoli in inglese (anche per migliorare un po' la mia conoscenza della lingua) e puntare più sulla qualità dei contenuti che non sulla quantità. Ecco perchè ho iniziato a usare Inleo come front-end e Leofinance come community. Per cercare di arrivare e partecipare a una piazza di discussione che ammiro e dove ci sono utenti esperti con cui confrontarsi.

La mia delega di HP

Fino al 07/02/2024 quasi tutti i miei HP erano delegati all'account @ecency. Ecency mi ricompensava con un interesse in HIVE di circa il 9-10%. Fino a quando sono stato lontano da Hive, mi andava bene. Guadagnavo qualcosa e favorivo altri autori che guadagnavano attraverso i voti dell'account @ecency.
Le cose però cambiano quando @leofinance annuncia l'introduzione dei Delegation Tiers. Un sistema di ricompense incrementali per chi delega HP all'account @leo.voter e soddisfa alcuni particolari requisiti:

1. Delegare HP all'account @leo.voter: Delegando HP a questo account, si riceve una ricompensa in token LEO liquidi pari a circa il 13% annuo. Significa il 3-4% in più di @ecency.
2. Switch to Staked on the Dashboard: Collegandosi alla Dashboard di InLeo (LINK), si può cliccare sul tasto "Switch to Stake". Da quel momento, le ricompense da delega saranno ricevuto in staked toke LEO, ma con interesse medio do 20% invece del 13%.
3. Essere un utente Premium: se si sono raggiunti i primi due requisiti e si è un utente Premium di Inleo, si riceveranno Staked token LEO come ricompensa della delega di HP ad un interesse del 22% invece che del 20%.

E' un sistema molto interessante che rafforza la posizione di LEO fornendo maggiori ricompense ma in Staking. Vi rimando al post di Leofinance (link) per tutti i dettagli tecnici.

Io non sono un utente Premium e non posso permettermi di esserlo. Il premium costa 10 HBD al mese, una cifra che non posso affrontare. Tuttavia sono ben felice di scambiare il mio 10% in HIVE da @ecency per un 20% in staked LEO. Questo perchè:

• Leofinance è una community interessante, di qualità e dove vorrei crescere;
• Il team di lavoro ha saputo lavorare bene e confido continuerà a farlo anche in futuro;
• Gli staked token LEO posso mantenerli o delegarli a loro volta ad altri progetti;

Quanti HP devo delegare per avere il Premium regalato?

Nello scrivere questo post mi è venuta voglia, per curiosità, di calcolare all'incirca, quanti HP dovrei delegare a @leo.voter per poter ottenere indietro una quantità di staked LEO pari al costo del Premium.

Partiamo da alcune assunzioni:

• Il Premium costa 10 HBD al mese, cioè 120 HBD all'anno. Considerato 1 HBD = 1 $, sono 120$ all'anno.
• Essere un utente Premium ci permette di guadagnare il 2% all'anno in più dalla nostra delega di HP. A questo punto sappiamo che per ottenere 120$ di interesse ad un tasso del 2% dobbiamo delegare 120/2% = 6.000$.
• Attualmente il prezzo di un HIVE si aggira attorno agli 0,30$, per tanto, per avere un controvalore di 6.000$, dovremo delegare circa 6000/0,30 = 20.000 HP.

Si tratta di una cifra che probabilmente non possiederò mai, ma ero curioso di calcolarlo.
