Event went uneventful

Things are back to pretty much normal except "the man" still trying to threaten the rest of the world. School sports day resumed after 2 years.

Only difference is, this time they limit the participants. They split the participants by grade so we can maintain "social distancing". Have you seen junior in the above photo? He's in the "green house".

I'm surprised by the turn up rate so low, and I guess people are still very much worry about the global killer virus. Despite home minister instruction was drop the boy off and go home, but I decided to stay back in school for the boy.

For the first time, I finally manage to see the school field, which is at the back of another school. Since it was raining season, the field is very muddy and wet. For every kid stomp by, I get a taste of the mud on my face. I'm also not regretting to wear bright orange colour shirt, so I got some new mud spots on my shirt and gave me a new pattern of orange cow lookalike.

Once again, can you spot the guy? Well, I'm not all surprised that he's the smallest guy amongst the team. On one hand, I'm hoping he will continue to be this small boy that I can pad his back for as long as I could. On the other hand, I also wish he grew up and be independent and competent.

You must be puzzled for how the sports day suddenly turned into McDonald's pancake? So the sports day ended within 15 minutes 🤣 boy got "disqualified" for not returning the paperwork which I have asked him to send back to his teacher a week ago. Apparently, he didn't. Back to the pancake, do you see what went wrong in the picture? That's right, who eat pancakes with 2 spoons? No knife, no fork. Just spoon. When I ask the counter staff can they at least gimme a fork? The staff present me yet another spoon. Note that there's 2 packet of chilli sauce? Seriously think they should stop selling pancakes if they can't give maple syrup, no butter, no fork, no spoon.

I got myself an omelet cheese sandwich, which they make it looks like the whole sandwich has been dipped into nuclear waste. Not exactly sure if they're so confident to beat KFC and decided to drop their standards. I'm now really considering to go back to KFC and see if they have improve since I last complain about how empty their burger was.

Here's a quick flashback, my last visit to KFC was about a month ago after this happened. I'm ok for McDonald's to price hike and giving a proper portion to customer, but I'm furious about KFC to keep their price tag low but start cost cutting and shredding the size of their food.

Anyway, after I sent the boy back home, immediately taking home minister out for a branch, you know. Happy waifu, happy laifu. I ordered a milk tea ice, wasn't expect it to be so smooth and nice. Jaw dropping good!

Home minister got herself a bowl of pork noodle soup. Note that there's dark color pieces of meat? Those are not beef, those are pig liver 🤣 and the brown colour stuff are fried pork lard(pig fat). Needless to say, this is one bowl of old school noodle that pack with ton of 1960s in taste bud explosion.

I've got myself a rather simple noodle soup. It's a ton of MSG I believe, soup is extremely tasty. One thing to highlight, the noodle were only cooked to 80% I believe. It maintain a little bit of crunchiness on every bite. I think this was NOT a mistake, and it's brilliant to cook it this way. Given time the noodle will soak in the noodle and become fully cooked if I eat slow enough. Even if I eat fast, the crunchiness of the noodle actually make it very enjoyable.

And sorry for the off topic, a random drawing came up during dinner with the kids where home minister went to church event. The boy draw this all by himself. We don't have a coupe version of our local Protong Waja(or Impian for UK export version), so I guess this is where the imagination comes to drawing.

These are a bunch of random stuff, but still was fun to read. Kids are back to school for the first time since the pandemic in the Philippines today, and as expected, a lot of them were crying due to sepanx (separation anxiety from parents)...

I like how you call your waifu, home minister... 😁 And I smiled at the MSG part... It really is an Asian thing. 😅 Not very healthy, but at least our taste buds are happy...

And.. nice drawing!!! 😁

We don't like to keep the distance if not the government make it a law 😁 I prefer to hug each other

Yes, I also don't like to be far apart, it's better if we are close to each other while chatting,,,, but we still have to carry out government rules for the health of all of us hehehe

Things don't seem like they are back to normal for me, especially with the face masks staying in place, aside from that your boys drawing skills are well above normal ;D

Frankly buddy, we already got used to that face mask. Probably not so much about the damn virus, but it's now a fashion 🤣 Alan Walker yo

Such a long wait for sports day and a little bureaucratic mistake disqualifies him. Well, I'm not sure what the paperwork was for, but I do hope it was a lesson learned for the little guy. I too have mixed feelings about seeing my girls getting older, want to see them independent but also want to be able to pick them up without hurting my back.

For a moment I thought chili sauce with pancakes was a unique Malaysian thing, but nope, apparently just McD's is out of syrup and this is their next best idea 🤯.

It was a consent letter, so to register the little guy for the event without reserving the rights for the uknowhat virus.

McDonald's outlet here in Malaysia has super high turnover of staff. Sometimes you love the branch so much that you think this is the one you can rely on for the rest of your life, then the next visit will probably turn up to be a total disaster like the above.
