Art Journal: "The Passage Into Another Realm" | Original Coffee Painting ☕🖌️

Greetings Hiver friends, How are you doing? A blissful day to everyone. Welcome to my art blog! Let me share with you the original coffee art that I created today. This is an interesting art because it signifies our inner being.

This is my interpretation of this piece, "The Passage into Another Realm" which is not just a physical journey, but a journey of our spirit. It is a place of divine encounter for those people who take heed of the mandate of our creator. To cross over to the other side requires being spiritual and self-denial. Commit yourself to prayer, worshiping God, thinking about and pondering upon the things of God.

I used three types of painting brushes for this art. It took me an hour to finish this piece.
For those who want to try to paint using this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.

Materials Needed:
👉 Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
👉 Pencil and Eraser
👉 Coffee Powder
👉 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
👉 Ruler
👉 Clean Water
👉 Rag
👉 Paper napkin or paper towel

Brushes:
👉 Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
👉 Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
👉 Filbert brush

Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.

Basic Procedure:
• Outline or sketch of your painting reference.
• Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
• On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
• The same procedure with the foreground.
• Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
• Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
