This Pub will open weekly on the Pubs Community with the purpose of acting as a place to meet, socialize, exchange information, get free stuff, you get the idea for HIVE's sake!

🥇 ❗THE GATHERING❗

Hey hey hey - How are we, everyone. Exhausting week for sure, but hopefully we will all get a chance to recharge during the weekend. Have you just arrived from some leave/vacation? Let us sneak peek at any posts or photos of those amazing moments. It's always nice to see those inspirational moments.

In this gathering, we are going to change the workflow of the Pub slightly. This will be experimental and we would love some feedback on it... so don't be shy! And to complement/enhance the future gathering we are moving the announcement of the "every gathering #NFT 🎈 giveaway" to the next gathering, so all that new visitors can check who won the last one.

Motivation

Usually, Pub visitors come mostly during the weekend when either they have time or "maybe" because when the Pub opens they know they can check all the new stuff, and that's fine, but it defeats a bit the initial purpose of this being a Pub. Which is being a place available during the entire 7 days of the curation period. Hence we are going to try something new to see if it helps.

New Workflow

During this gathering, the content provided at post time can be further updated at any time until we reach the next gathering day. This does not mean you will always find nothing interesting to read on the first day or hours of the gathering, but that situation can be possible. The idea is trifold:

  • Allow the Pub to open more regularly at always the same time (let's try for now 9PM NZT) via a schedule (without human intervention) - yes, we bought a little bunny bot to open the door for us LOL
  • Make the "7-day" period more appealing to read at ANY time. Since some of you will check in to see if there are any updates, comments, etc.
  • Make the Fridays of @forykw a bit more relaxing! 🤣😅 - most of the time he enjoys doing it, but some days is a huge challenge!

This might or might not affect the curation value a bit, but long-term thinking we don't think that's going to be an issue. If it is, we adapt again. Plus, it might actually generate more content over time, because sometimes content only makes sense on a specific date interval, and if not released, it loses interest.

A reminder that the main focus is Experience... and that should be something the visitors feel always tempted to check and find entertaining new reasons to check the Pub. Although, if this doesn't work out, let us know, as we are all up to try new things and improve, hopefully.

Hence, this will be it, for now, and further updates will come in this (🥇 ❗THE GATHERING❗) section as always, at a random time of this gathering.

Note: You are always welcome to visit and share your stuff OK? That does not need to be random, it's when you wish/can.

Crypto-Shots are LIVE!

You can now purchase the Starter Pack and play it! @forykw already played it a couple of times... and he claims that is becoming something super cool. Still lots to come but the core value is there... and if you try the HARD mode, good luck!

With your Starter Pack you get access to a Base Gun, Base Ammo, and a Base Character that will give you a 30 minute time period to play per day with a maximum of 5 minutes per game session. During that time limit, you can die and start new games until the daily limit expires. While you are not playing the timer does not elapse (even if you already played 20 seconds for example).

You will then be able to kill some enemies, and the more you kill, the more BOOM (token on WAX, via account https://wax.bloks.io/csboomcsboom) you will be able to claim.

Note: This game is already using some features of the HIVE blockchain but it will be integrated further in the forthcoming roadmap. For more information read the whitepaper.

HiveAuth is Live!

These are exciting times. This new project from @arcange team has finally been released! The amazing project (supported by this proposal) enables a whole new experience while interacting with HIVE dapps, and all this while maintaining the core principles of security from this platform.

Familiar with HIVE Keychain for mobile?

@stooodkev team already implemented this and you can start taking advantage of it as soon any dapps implement it.

The important takeaway from these new developments is that users can now use their phones (private and personal) to process HIVE broadcast/requests with their keys on other devices (PCs, tablets, etc) without the requirement of installing HIVE KeyChain and importing your keys into it, on every device you use.

Any dapps implementing this method of authentication will likely benefit from a higher user adoption due to its increased dynamic.

It's also important to state that the need to have your keys in more places might greatly reduce, improving users' overall security (mistakes happen to everyone - who didn't paste a password on a chat by mistake?).

PeakD New Look

We could not go without mentioning the new improved look of @peakd along with the many features released. We will go through some of them below:

It got a much "visual" appealing look in our view. Plus it implemented a couple of important features that enhance the overall user and even witnesses experience.

Integration with HiveAuth

The Pub already tested this integration and it worked amazingly! Please take into consideration that this is the first release and adaptation to the real-world scalability might be something to fine-tune yet. Although, from what the Pub could test, it's working flawlessly until now.

Checking the post history

You can now check the Pub gatherings changes (history) on peakd. This is a format (the Pub one) being tested during this gathering and it might continue on the next one (details above).

This will be something the Pub will explore since it helps with the decentralization effort of these gatherings. More will be proposed at the next gathering. But if there are any interested parties in exploring this, please do share any articles you would like to publish or provide the Pub with that kind of information.

@new.arron do u have any tips for @maccazftw, he is starting up Rising star this weekend. He just has to get his beers sorted first !LOL . Are you playing on pc or your mobile. I find it easy on both now.

The keychain app on my phone makes it easy to switch many of the hive dapps where ever I am.

@punknature2021 are you into any of the hive or other play to earn games. I have been messing around with a quite a few now testing things out to see what I like, Splinterlands, gods unchained, binemon just to name a few.

@essleshal , @mateyevans , @vidus4evz what have you guys been up to ?

I think am starting to get the hang of Dcity took me a while and I have only just clicked what you need to unlock your technology cards to get them to improve your income. I was wonder why my income was still getting worse -15 as I just kept adding cards.

I like the idea of adding more stuff to the weekly pub post during the week, are you thinking as comments or editing the original post?

Hello @new.things and @maccazftw. I just use my Android and it's an old one. S10 I have no problems apart from the very average resolution which is worst on the xhaust page, it's kind of annoying having to sign in and out of you frequent different wifis or have a vpn but apart from that very easy to setup. It's basically clicking the same quest over and over, unless you put money in, which i need to get around to doing. From what I hear you need a crypto wallet, I use binance and trade either fiat or other crypto to hive??? correct me please, because I am 1 step from doing this and just gathering info.

Well, you can use https://nftm.art to buy cards for example. But I am not sure how friendly that will be on the phone...

You can send several cryptos into Hive-Engine (https://tribaldex.com/wallet/) and then trade them there (on tribaldex) and buy STARBITS (as usually its the cheapest way) to get new packs or buy cards on the NFTMart as I mentioned above.

The clicking gets super crazy once the clicking starts paying a !BEER on every click !LOL

It's just a question of time...

Imagine... having something else like a !WINE and a !PIZZA, and while you wait, clicking and paying for your dinner? =) just sound crazy. But for me, a reality =)

Oh that's awesome to know that it gets a little faster and more clicking, it's hard to remember the 25 min sessions so I keep missing out because I forget !LOL .

Both... the experimental idea is to bring more dynamic to the daily thing.

This could also evolve into the helpers participating in those updates. Collaboration with news will help a lot, just like newspapers work.

Yay to trying new things @forykw 🙌

Well, some good news:

✨ I've been smashing it on the emoji's front and regularly getting in the Top 1️⃣0️⃣ Daily List of users of emoji's on Hive and I've been slowly climbing the All Time 🕟 Users List. That's a bit of fun !LOL

🎇 I've been enjoying writing freestyle in the zapfic.club contests each Monday and/or Friday. I usually manage on or the other each week. And this week I was one of the winners in Monday's contest 😄😃😅 (Here's the very short post if you want to take a peek.

💠 I'm slowly getting more efficient at some things on the blockchain. Like adding links; I can now do this much more quickly/more easily. 💹

🔯 I'm feeling more and more comfortable just writing about whatever the hell I feel like sharing. I know one kind of post will appeal to one group of people. Another post will appeal to another group. Nothing will appeal to everybody. And sometimes I get surprised by who suddenly shows up in my comments or reblogs things. All good learning 😁

🔸 Finally, I do not have Covid. I did not catch it off the Mister. I think the waves of interesting and different symptoms have mostly been detoxing crap out of my body as I start to reduce the consumption of processed foods and meat more than ever before and increase my leafy greens, omega 3 rich seeds and water! This is very, very good news; my body is healing itself. 🔆🎵🌞

Fast learner! That's the way. Spot on! And eventually, the snowball effect kicks in and then stops, and then restarts because you did or this... moral of the story, just be yourself and ignore the "try to please" everyone thing that sometimes keeps us worried about.

By the way, love the way to do the emoji thing... 🤗 I was/am also very addicted to it. It just sends way more visual 💬 communication than people realize. And also serves as a color 🌈 separator most of the time. Eyes have difficulties in separating ⬛◼◾▪⚫🖤🔲things when it's always the same color or similar patterns. So yep, they 😍 have lots of functionalities. 😎

Aside from the actual need of going on leave again, I think I am drifting a bit. Too many things at once usually are the cause of it. But I am working on some preparations to restart that motivation again and I know they will help, so, just a tinny bit more of work, and then it's going HYPE mode again.

I need to buy some !BEER today... feeling the need for creativity and my wife is doing some amazing bread that I am probably going to salvage a bit to make a !PIZZA (no joke, sometimes it does turn out very good 😂)

Agreed! 😁 I say to @new.things all the time... "add an emoji so they know you're joking," because I know him well enough to know he's saying something funny but so much nuance gets lost with just text alone 📝 And while the emoji contest thing feels kind of silly (although the playfulness of competing is fun 🤸‍♀️) it is helping to train me to think to include emoji's as I type.
