January 27th, 2021HIVE's value might be down in the dumps at the moment, but our community HP via the @asean.hive curation account grows and grows. We continue to get a trickle of small delegations each week, and although it doesn't seem like much, it all adds up and contributes to supporting Southeast Asian content on Hive.
We received another big delegation increase from @davidke20, taking his total delegation up to 17,003HP, I am absolutely humbled and honored. @rosmadirazali also bumped his delegation up to 120HP, @itsmiessyonpeakd increased her delegation to 50HP, and @explorewithsasha increased her delegation to 25HP. We have a new delegator, @deimage, who started off with a sizeable 100HP delegation. Thanks to you ASEAN Hivers for choosing to delegate and support Southeast Asian content while also making yourselves eligible for daily prizes and rewards.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every Saturday I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you Hivers (except [me] @justinparke, @kidsisters, & @sreypov), with a minimum of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are four separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and more fair.
This week's total effective HP is 60,161, and total delegated HP (42,684 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP) is 57,266 HP, so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
The more you delegate, the greater your chances are to win, and this weekly raffle is just a fun way to reward supporters of Southeast Asian content on Hive.

On a side note, excluding Justin, there's only 2 of us more than 10k Dele, therefore the chances of striking a lotto will be like 55:45 between the two of us. I think it will be way more fun to have more 10k deles on the top chart 😁

I already feel very much obligated to match his delegation, and of course that obligation is self-imposed, and gladly.
Well, of course I'm technically a Diamond VIP, but my family and I have all agreed to ban ourselves from eligibility in the raffles, especially as we are the ones in charge of selecting the winners. I would like to see more 10K delegators, but I understand SE Asian content has an uphill battle, even now the whales still haven't offered any kind of support to this community at all. I think in the longrun this lack of involvement in Hive politics will likely benefit this community. I guess only time will telll.
All of his recent delegation increases seem to be useless in the VIP Delegator Raffles. I am surprised Dave hasn't closed his HP briefcase and hit the road by now. Surely the law of averages will even things out in the long run.
