Hello, foodies!
Today we had lunch outside, cause i really craved to eat outside. I'm getting bored so we went out.

The restaurant where ate was located at Kyai Maja Street, South Jakarta. Right in front of RSPP, one of the large hospital in Jakarta.

It was actually like a food court cause they offered many dishes from food stalls, they sold indonesian, western, seafood and also chinese food.

These were some of their menu

The dining area

It was a comfortable, nice, clean and neat place to have lunch. Although outside looked ordinary but inside they had antique interior, an old fashioned style which showed with their many old lamps and photos, they also use wood for their furniture.

They also had unique pictures on the wall, Indonesian old kings and their heritances.

The food
I ordered nasi soto kudus campur.

Kudus is a name of a city in Central Java. It's one of authentic Indonesian food. The soto was amazing. It contained chicken, beansprouts, fried garlic and also leeks. Because i requested it to be mix, so they put the rice also inside. The flavor was savory, the chicken was also savory and it was the best soto kudus i have ever tasted. You should try it. I also added the green chilli to make it a bit spicy.

Mom ordered bakmi ayam or chicken noodle in chinese food stall. It was just ordinary (i tried a bit, so i know the taste). The flavor was savory and a bit sweet. The noodle was curly and not too soft nor hard.

We also ordered the side dish, it was potato in a bucket.. haha antique to put it in a small alumunium bucket like these. Actually it was french fries, we asked them to keep it original by only added some salt unto it. And one more weird thing, they didn't put it in the menu, only a banner that showed it.

The flavor was delicious. The potato was soft inside, outside. These were like butter french fries for me, so savory and yummy. Delicious!

The Price

For all the food we ordered and an ice tea, we paid 68,000 IDR or around 5 USD.

The Service
The waiter served quickly and no mistakes. All were kind and friendly.

I invite you all to try the soto kudus here and the french fries too!
