A Friday squirrel rhapsody.

A happy Friday to all and come to laugh a bit.
221.jpg
She said; Hey fella can you give a girl a hand up here, please hold my legs

The terrible twins were at it again early morning and they were figuring out a lofty way to get at the nuts. She thought that if she went higher up, there might be an opening where she could slip through.

This is how it started and you can see her considering the heights here :)
220.jpg

Boom! He grabbed her legs in the lift and she came crashing down.
222.jpg

But of course I gave them nuts just to ease her displeasure of her brother and he kept a distance between them in case she wanted to slap him.
210.jpg

She turned and you can see that she was considering to give him a mother of a slap.
212.jpg

She is a lady and uses the bath on the ground to have a drink.
006.jpg

Her brother drinks from the high bird bath.
118.jpg

She baths in it, drinks from it and can even eat on it.
Do you eat in your bath ?
Maybe mother nature is showing you some possibilities here to sit on your haunches on the edge of the bath with a slice of cake :)
004.jpg

Achtung! Beware! Passop! He was on full alert as he saw danger.
237.jpg

Beautiful when he is preparing to take off in a flash.
Our little dog was coming and although he barks to get the squirrels out of his way, he has never caught a squirrel.
238.jpg

Just my idea of fun in the garden and it's such a pleasure to put the things of this troubled world out of my mind when I see the wonders here. The new Covid variant infections are escalating alarmingly over here and of concern is that even 4 year old children are infected. So the next few days will determine if we will have a hard lockdown again.

So many small businesses have already had to close down after the first series of lockdowns and this one could be the final killer blow for the remaining ones.
As a charity, our concern is how to handle the huge number of new unemployed people and it causes many sleepless nights for us.
But such is life and we do what we can for the people.

Laughter and sadness are like a pair of permanent gloves that we all wear in this life.
(My own words)

And That's All Friends!

Squirrels are so cute and fun to watch.... unless they are trying to take over my bird feeder! !Gif !LOL

Those are some nice shots you got. Seems they are almost tame.

Hahaha, that's why we feed them nuts to keep them away from the birds feeders.
Sort of like squirrel psychology !LOLZ

Thank you and they are used to us, but we will never try to tame them, as we believe that the wild belongs in the wild.

The Terrible Twins are so funny :) Believe me, they would have found a way to get to those nuts 🤣

Whatever happened to the new baby squirrel? I haven't seen her in a post recently.

Yes , they are funny with all of their tricks :)
At times they sneak into the open front door and hide behind the couches. But I get them every time as the nuts on the kitchen counter will be gone. So I will move the couches and they will run across the floor to get out of the door.
That's why I only the window in the study when I am sitting here.

No ways my friend as they will wreck everything searching for nuts in the house.

Yes, let's hope that it was something like that and we only hope that it is still alive.
I think that the terrible twins scared her away.

But the girl did not want the help, because she alone can climb 😂.

Squirrels are cute, too bad they are wild animals that can't be domesticated. Nice post.

Oh yes, you female are always difficult for us males to understand 🤣

We are glad that they cannot be domesticated, because all wild animals belongs in the wild.
All life is sacred and they will have no life in a cage.

Thank you and have some !PIZZA

We had one that was semi tame some years ago and we called her Squirry.
She used to climb all over us and search in our pockets for nuts.
This was Squirry hanging to eat on my wife.

your squirrel story posts are always such fun to read

I heard on the news that the Covid numbers are climbing badly there with the new Variant, stay safe my friend and have a good weekend

Thank you JJ and we really enjoy their antics.

Yes things are getting worse here day by day and I hope that they can find some answers soon.
Our scientists are brilliant and it's one thing to be the first to identify the new strain, but quite another to find the protection properties for humans against the virus. It seemingly infects both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated.

May you guys also have a good weekend and take care.

Yeah so true
And it’s spreading the world over some many places are spiking again

Infection numbers quadrupled here in a weeks time, so we are facing a new monster, as it infects way faster than the first two.

Take care my friend.

It's the little ones that we are worried about, as small children can now also become infected.

I worry about our grandkids I hope they get vaccinated soon
The oldest grandson has Covid now and is quarantined in his room but luckily no symptoms

So sorry to hear this JJ.
A strange thing, as when my daughter and her family emigrated to the UK she also tested positive with no symptoms. Only her and not her husband and her two kids. They were all fine.
So I don't think that your grandson need to worry too much, as the only thing that he is going to dislike is the quarantine.

I am not to worried at all he is doing well and probably enjoying no work or school and all day playing games away in his room lol

So glad to hear this as my daughter hated being alone in her room while her family was together in the rest of the house. When they arrived in the UK, they were all put into a quarantine hotel apartment for another 2 weeks.

Smiled as you told the story of the squirrels. 😁

Teared up upon finishing reading post.
Life sure doesn't seem to get any easier for the people in your region.
Your commitment to those you serve, is inspirational.

Stay Safe my friend and God Bless your efforts!

Glad to see you on here big guy. Just shows that a hip replacement and some discomfort will never slow you down. One day I will tell you about some of my tricks to stay on the move.
Dedication costs and we have had two burnouts already, as you might know, but we simply continue to climb the mountain.

To serve is a pleasure and to see some successes such as the new coding training for the children only serves to make us more determined to bring about better lives for all.

So you just hang in there and we pray that soon you will be running around again. It might be a month or two, but you and I know that you can beat it.

All strength and blessings to you and yours and thank you for the reply, as it has eased our hearts.

In the big picture, being down for several weeks is a walk in the park.
It sounds like the coding class is really working out.
Hopefully skills of this nature will provide greater opportunities for those you so love.

Getting to know you, even from far away and only here on #hive has enriched my life.

God Bless

All strength to you big guy and yes 3 weeks sounds so much better than my 3 months flat on my back in traction on a hospital bed.

I will soon do a post on the coding project. One of my rare charity posts and this is a project that makes our Lord proud as I listened for a change.

Believe me when I say that we also thank Him for allowing us to cross paths with you guys.
You know that you can do this and I know that in a short time you will be up again.

Blessings also to you guys.

Three months flat on my back, I know that had to be tortuous.
A post on the success of the coding program will be great to see and will let others know of the great efforts that the people involved with your charity put forth.
Thanks for the goods my friend, always appreciated.

Yep and you know that I spent 2 years in plaster after that hospital stay.
But it was worth it as God saved both me and my leg.
He planned for me to do what I do today and eventually I started to really listen.
Quite often we listen with our physical ears and not with the ears of the soul. A big mistake.

I will do the post as soon as I can my friend.

No problem as I am a happy giver, the same as you guys.

Never count yourself short my man, as I am sure that your faith is exactly, or has even more power than mine. One thing that we both know is that there is power in faith and it is this same power that have carried you through all of your other tight spots in live.

There have been some tight spots along the way, some tighter then others.
Some times I look back and know that I've been given a helping hand along the way.

Your humble nature doesn't allow you to see just how much more you do then most.

Oh yes, if that unseen hand had not helped me in the past, I would not be here today. A serious truth and we can only stand amazed at the mercy that is so constantly available to us.

I am only a servant my friend and the reason why I like to talk about the deep side to you is that you are an understanding man. I tend to joke with many others and keep it on the surface stuff.

Be well big guy and have a !BEER, oh, and !LUV for your lady.
