Simple Gadgets That Make Life Easier

Hey friends! Today I thought I would write a little post about inexpensive items that help make my life easier. I hope one of these is useful to you, too!

If you have cats, you might have experienced it that sometimes they like to rub on a specific corner in your home so much that it becomes dirty from all the oils in their skin. Get one of these, called a Cat-A-Comb, and mount it on that corner where they rub against. They will enjoy the brush on it and your wall will stay clean! :)

If you don't need one of those big shower shelves/caddies, but the little soap holder that generally comes installed inside the bath is turning your bar soap to soup, you can get just a soap dish that is mounted with a strong suction cup like this! It stays put (I've had it for almost a year now and it's never fallen), and your soap can dry without becoming mush.

Similarly, if you need a place to hang your bath mat where it won't drip all over your bathroom floor, you can get one of these Command strip hooks and keep it inside the bath (I don't think this would work for the thicker Rubbermaid type mats, of course, but since I just use a towel as my non-slip inside the shower, it works well for that).

If someone in your home uses a cane or a crutch and it's always falling over when they sit down and prop it up against something, or during the night when they're in bed, you can get some of these hooks that are meant to hold up brooms and mops and other tools like that and install them in those places where they usually rest their cane. This way it is held in place on the wall and they won't have to go fishing for it on the ground! :)

If you've ever been in a power outage and realized that your flashlight batteries were dead just when you needed them most, one of these hand-crank flashlights comes in super handy! You do have to keep pumping it to make it work, but it never needs batteries and it's fantastic in a pinch. Even if you have spare batteries for your other flashlights but you have to dig them out of a cupboard, you can use this one to see what you're doing while you look for them, or while you're setting up candles. Having this has spared me trouble more than once!

So there are some of the items that I've bought over the years that didn't cost much but really are handy. What items like this have you discovered? Thanks for reading! :)

The light is great - you can even get them with a radio and other things, if needed :)
