Bike Ride to Forcella Lavardet, Belluno - The alequandro Diaries
To my surprise while I was looking for photos on an old hard drive, I found some photos that I had forgotten I had.
It was August 14, 2010, it seems impossible to me it has been so long.

My brother Riccardo and I had decided to go for a ride with the mountain bike and we went to the province of Belluno, more precisely once we reached Campolongo we continued on an uphill road towards Forcella Lavardet, an alpine pass at 1524 meters on sea level.

Era il 14 agosto del 2010, mi sembra impossibile sia passato così tanto tempo.
Io e mio fratello Riccardo avevamo deciso di fare un giro con la mountain bike e siamo andati in provincia di Belluno, più precisamente una volta giunti a Campolongo abbiamo proseguito per una strada tutta in salita verso la Forcella Lavardet, un valico alpino a 1524 metri sul livello del mare.
The beauty of that path is that it is practically deserted and you can walk even in the middle of the road without problems, and the landscape is fantastic.

Il bello di quel percorso è che praticamente deserto e si può camminare anche al centro della strada senza problemi, inoltre il paesaggio è fantastico.
The path is very tiring, it is all uphill and taking a few breaks is almost a mandatory choice unless you are a competitive athlete.

E' molto faticoso il percorso, è tutto in salita e fare alcune pause è quasi una scelta obbligata a meno che non siate degli atleti agonisti.
At a certain point the water of a stream crosses the road and traveling by bike is a little adventure.

Ad un certo punto l'acqua di un torrente attraversa la strada e transitare in bici è una piccola avventura.
Look in this photo what a difficult climb!
That is the most difficult stretch, then the road becomes dirt, very nice to do on a mountain bike.

Quello è il tratto più difficile, poi la strada diventa sterrata, molto bella da fare in mountain bike.
You know what? Thinking about it, Hive is a great place to record memories and adventures that would otherwise be relegated to an old hard drive!

wow that zig zag road is really quite something!!! It doesn't look too steep from the photo but I image cycling up there is another matter.
Apparently it doesn't seem very difficult to go up that road, but if I tried now, that I'm not trained, I think I would have a heart attack 😀
