The Man Who Was Favoured In His Place Of Work.

There was a man named Micheal who lived in a two bedroom apartment not far from a popular tourist attraction spot. He was calm in all he did, always exercising clarity in thoughts and in mind in all his endeavours. He was the kind of person that was in control over his emotions. He knew when to speak and when not to speak, when to lead and also when to follow. He was hard-working as well. No matter the challenges that crossed his path, he always found a way to overcome it in an efficient manner. This character of his helped him prosper on personal and professional ground.

At the professional level Micheal studied Business Management back in school and later worked at the lowest level in management in his early career days although he had ambitions to go all the way up, get promoted and imprint his blueprint of excellence in the company. He was well known for his ability to plan, organise, coordinate, pay attention to details and lastly find creative solutions as well as brilliant alternatives to challenges the company encountered and heights or goals to attain.

Then covid-19 came and affected how the company operates. Covid-19 caused a continuous stunt in growth to the finances of the company. The company couldn't make headway like they used to, so the only way the BOARD could absorb these pressures was to let some employees go. When those at the highest level of management relayed the news to everyone, it was difficult news to handle. This was a time where cost of living had inflated, a lot of other companies in the industry had cut down the size of their employees, and unemployment was at a high rate. Micheal felt devastated because those at lower level management were not exempted.

On the day of the worker's layoff. Micheal was scared he could be on the list of those to receive a sack letter. But funny enough when that day came. A man from the highest management level invited him secretly to his office, showed him the list and told him to be at ease, chin up, shake off the gloomy face and assured him that he will be retained. He said he did him this favour because his face and name reminds him of his late younger brother who passed away shortly after their mother's death. The man also exposed to Micheal how he approved his Job application letter with ease and also praised him for his immense contribution to the company's growth.

Micheal was motivated after this incident. He said within himself that he will do everything within his power to take the company to new heights, maximise those unexplored opportunities in the womb of covid-19 challenges and not let that man who made sure he wasn't laid off down. Over the next couple of months Micheal worked overtime, partnered with new project, showed strong character in leadership, made new clients which increased the profit of the company…

His dedication, determination, work rate, clarity in mind, and excellent professional ethics were what Michael used to grow the company from its down to new highs. He was later promoted to occupy a seat at the highest management level and was later considered as a possible next of kin by the owners of the company. He had the Joseph of the Bible kind of aura during that covid-19 period; he became a different kind of breed starting from that day he was favoured to retain his job in the company. It played a key role in his success story.
