What a odd smell.

Sometimes you think of a word and it just feels right but then the Internet ruins it for you. In Afrikaans the word for a turd is a:

Droll

I tend to use the word Droll to mean tedious, drab and just plain shitty but not worthy of the exuberance inherent in saying the word Shit.

I guess I am not so far off the official definition since calling someone a Droll would mean they are ODD but in a shitty fashion, and humorous like a funny smell. They are also whimsical but in their erratic way of thinking, mostly illogical and absolutely selfish.

So I would say they need to expand the definition of Droll to mean more what it sounds like. Also maybe spell it Drole.

Mainly the word has now become part of my weeks vocabulary because it has been such a irritatingly drab and unproductive week. Partly thanks to increased power cuts because obviously, I live in Africa so no need to explain stupid.

Also why can't a country just make me their Supreme Ruler. Ya know just as a test. I got plenty ideas, sure most include eliminating people but only the baddies...

Content moderation is hard which is why Hive made communities, half arsed but communities none-theless I imagine the next step is revoking rewards on the main chain and I kinda don't think that is an issue. Although the option would be the main chain is a community, dogfood so to speak and DHF controls who moderates with a dash of letting the plebs think they are special and having an alternative selection method that is actually "fair".

For now we are where we are and I think many communities do an ok job of muting people but it is also just a little bit of an itch because it does not matter if a community mute you if most funds come from Hive anyway, then again if most funds come from general voters why would they care to post to a "community".

I wonder what happened to the global blacklist api. I mainly use ecency and do not go searching high and low for content so I guess like a racehorse I have blinders on and fly past all the under-the-radar day 5 mega vote group hug take your Hive and run people.

Anyway, that can get quite dreary and without a living code of conduct or protocol guide or some form of social "contract" why would there be any interest in dealing with what does not directly or perceptively affect us.

Even with my blinders on I would like to think I have circle jerk but based on merit voting behaviour. Then again I guess what the merit is can be different for each. So if some have figured out how to make their merit by gaining as much Hive in as little time as possible, then that is DPOS.
