This past weekend @mrsbozz and I went to visit her family in Ohio. They life just outside of Columbus and our main reason for attending was to see our nieces play basketball. I did a couple posts about it via my Actifit activity reports on my @bozz.sports account. Check them out if you get a chance.

With all of the unique places to eat in the Columbus area, it is funny to think that one of my favorite down there is a chain restaurant. We had just finished up our trip through IKEA and decided that we needed something to eat.

We could have eaten right at IKEA like many people do as part of their shopping experience, but I was hungry for a burger so instead we headed down the road to Red Robin. Red Robin is a large national burger chain which is why I am not doing a full Tasteem post about our trip.

Not being a fan of red meat, @mrsbozz opted to get the Turkey BLT on a croissant that you see pictured above. She loves her onion rings so she substituted them for the fries that the meals usually come with.

As I said, I was hungry for a burger and usually when I come to Red Robin I get the original Tavern Double. This time I was interested in trying something different, so I got the Smoke and Pepper burger. Although it was very good, I would probably not get it again. They just have too many other options to choose from.

One thing to note about Red Robin is the fact that their steak fries are bottomless. I think @slobberchops would love this place for that very reason. Sadly, after having lived here a while, he has sworn off the US and he may never get to experience the awesomeness that is Red Robin. Maybe one day they will expand overseas...

Typically when we travel down to Ohio, I often bring back a case of Yuengling beer or we stop in to the local Trader Joe's so that I can pick up one of the house brand or specialty beers that they carry. This time instead of getting beer I decided that I wanted to get a nice bottle of whiskey or bourbon that had been locally distilled.

Surprisingly, there are quite a few distilleries in the Columbus, OH area. I had a handful of options to choose from, but eventually I settled on this. If you look closely at the label you can see that this bottle was part of batch number 62.

We returned home from our trip on Saturday night and @mrsbozz laughed at me when not long after we got home I busted into this bottle. "Just couldn't wait could you", she said. I was really excited to try it!

In my opinion, it is pretty fantastic. You can definitely taste the pumpernickle rye and it gives it a deep and bitter (but not in a bad way) taste. I am really glad I picked up this bottle. The hard part will be deciding if I get another bottle of this or try something different next time I am down that way.

If @goblinknackers is able to get his hands on a bottle of this some day, I highly recommend it!

One of the companies had a Old Fashioned mix pre-made that looked really interesting to me. When I am not drinking my whiskey on the rocks, that is one of my favorite whiskey based drinks.
