It Was a Long Streak... But It's Gone

Good Saturday, everyone!

Well, one day it had to end, I guess. After 34 seasons on the top League of Rabona, my Team - Peg Leg Crew - was finally relegated after a long series of bad luck and lousy defeats.

Yep... our boat has sunk. 😆

It was a long streak, with 1 first place and 7 second places. Yeah, 7!!! Damn!!! I was so close to victory so many times... but luck wasn't on my side. One of those times I even finished tied for points with the first, but with a lower Goal Difference... only a couple of goals separated us.

Just for curiosity, here is how I ranked during this series at LOC:

The game is fun, even if lately it has lost a bit of interest after one Hive user got 8 of his teams in the League. He can easily rig the matches between his teams so he basically can get 42 free points to his main team.
Considering that the champion usually ends the season with 55 points or so... you can see how he can pretty much control the League completely, leaving little chance for other players. 😐

Now I need to get my team back on track. Some old guys need to retire and fresh blood must come in, if I want to get back on top.
Also, I think I'll need to change tactics. I was mostly playing with 4-4-2 but I feel like there's a bug in the system, since I lost a lot of games where supposedly I had the tactics plus the home advantage... plus the best players. 😕

Sometimes I feel like the game is a little too random... Does any of you feel the same?

Hey Trincowski,
Lovely to read about Rabona.
I was on for 5 seasons as Starblazers, got all the way up to League 1 twice and pretty much dropped out. I may resume soon, not sure.
That Guy surely needs the Boot🥾

I was also keen on 442 & sometimes 4231.
The show much go on, and yes some old guys really need to retire😂

Let's see... With so many khors in the LOC, maybe it's best to stick around League 1 for a while! At least there I can play against different opponents every week! 😂

Anyway, I'm not playing Rabona as when it comes to football, I am bad even watching the game, so you can only imagine how much worse I would be to play it. 😂

Therefore, when it comes to Hive games, I stick with Splinterlands as my first choice. I gave up on Cryptobrewmaster after a long time of playing it without any success due to the constant changes that, from my point of view, were for nothing except for sucking out more money (liquid crypto) from the players.
Recently, I tried to do something with dCrops and dCity, both of which I find more or less OK so far, although both games are more long-term strategical ones lacking that playing excitement that Splinterlands game has.
I'm still contemplating whether to try the Rising Star game or not due to lack of time, but many positive reviews about it still tickle me intriguingly.

However, I wish you all the luck with getting your Rabona team back on track and winning again a nice streak, despite those players (Hive users) who are apparently trying to trick the system.

Eh, this is the only game I play. It just takes a few clicks per day, it doesn't take up much time. 🤣
I tried some of those games too, but I quit for one reason or another.
