To See Once Again, Springing into Life

There was love in the air, the dose of sun and shine warming my upturned face, now that the blanket of winter has been pulled back. The trivial has become more important, little by little, the extraordinary presents itself. Today, just barely there, but tomorrow...to experience the wonder of it, the beauty, the splendor. The glory of it all, if you will.

Like the newness of love, the present tense of it. It is merely a celebration of the senses. Spring is here.

I can't explain it very well, maybe you can
I can only say it must be that spring is in the air
I can feel the ache in my heart, the longing, the desire
Twisting my heart, with words that take me away.!

Painted blue on blue
One stroke at a time
Unnoticed by words
Whispered into the night

They are blowing in the breeze today, following me all the way home. Oh, lift my soul when it flowers, with a breath of fresh air sweeping beautiful thoughts on my world. It is #alwaysaflower for me. To color my world.

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

It's only just begun... this thing. This spring. Walking through the woods, listening to the sounds, bluebells singing their song.

Lines Written in Early Spring

I heard a thousand blended notes,
While in a grove I sate reclined,
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sad thoughts to the mind.

To her fair works did Nature link
The human soul that through me ran;
And much it grieved my heart to think
What man has made of man.

Through primrose tufts, in that green bower,
The periwinkle trailed its wreaths;
And ’tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.

The birds around me hopped and played,
Their thoughts I cannot measure:—
But the least motion which they made
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.

The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there.

If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature’s holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
What man has made of man?

William Wordworth

I like that blue on blue line. That is visually unnoticable, unless they are different tones of blue. So this verse is about noticing the small details?

It's always about the small details. :)

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your words.

You say that but, I remember that it is always like an overnight switch! The tulips are stunning and I will be going to one of the tulip farms soon. I can hardly wait!

Hi, @jayna! Always good to see you!I hope you are having a great day!

Ooh. Tulip farms? How amazing that must be! We have a beautiful arboretum here and they have amazing tulips. Probably no until late May, though!

Nice ode to spring! Spring is such a great time of the year. The colors after a grey and drab landscape and the coming warmth after a cold winter. They really make a person feel good and bring a new sense of joy I think.

I think you are right, there is such a renewal of sorts when the spring cometh! I am so jealous you are in France right now!

Have you been to the Keukenhof since you have been there? Oh, I absolutely love that place!

Wonderful @dswigle my own tulips are just poking through their little pots . I have to pot mine up (trying again this year) and keep them up on my outdoor potting bench outside Under a tote with rocks on too keep the squirrels and deer out, then when they finally get ready to bloom I put them on the terrace close to the door and have to cover them at night or they get eat up haha, Ah Spring in the country, eh?

Haha! Yes! I have the same problem with the house on the Shore. I have to outsmart the squirrels and voles for the bulbs. The very last time the Pentagon pulled up their bulb (glorious bulbs they put around the building) and give them to people, I got about 100 of them - and the voles ate every single one of them! Wah!!!! Lesson learned, albeit a little late.

Ah, Spring! :)

Beautiful shots! I am looking forward to seeing the daffodils pop up in the woods behind our house. I have already seen my first robin of the year, but when those start to bloom I will know that warmer weather is really here for a couple of months!

Ah, Spring! It is unanimous! We all love it and look forward to it in so many different ways. I absolutely love daffodils that drift in through the wood. One of my favorite springtime looks.

Ah...Wordsworth truly had a way with words. Quite a bouquet of them! Here it feels like Spring too. The seasons are totally confused.

I love Wordsworth... how appropriate the name, no? You are backtracking to Spring? It has certainly been a year of confusing weather... I feel like we may be getting back on track! :)

Hello from here, my friend. Spinning circles again, never finding time of late. This too shall pass. I keep saying that, so it must be true. xoxo

After reading this ode to spring and viewing the colors that only nature can so vividly bring to life, I almost thought Spring had Sprung around here, that was until I looked out the window. 😁
