Today's gym workout :: Daily and Fresh šŸ“· (199/366)

Hey!

I was at the gym this morning and I had a kind of a leg day.

Since there was not much equipment, I had to get creative.

I had to pile up old magazines so that it's easier to do deadlifts because the plates were so small.

I also had to throw in some dumbell plates too, because the weight was too light. And it still was a bit too light, but I decided to do it in a little bit like cardio, because I'm still starting out after a long break. I have a feeling that I could still pull it up if I threw in all the plates I can find.

The other bar is very thin and uncomfortable I decided to use the one that was on the bench press. Too bad the plates on that one had only a tiny hole, and I could not use them on this bar. It'd been nice because that way I could have gotten much more weight on it.

The bench is a multi-purpose bench, so I could set it up for some quads workout. Although since the weights are very small I'm going to hit the limit pretty soon I think.

I felt like doing some back exercises too, so I did some one hand rows with a similar setup but an additional part to the bench. Forgot to take a photo of that.

I finished the workout with lunges holding 5kg dumbells in both hands.

I recommend everyone have a workout too! Maybe I'll do another one tomorrow morning.


Oh... Another thing happened. Miro has a sore throat and sniffles now, and I queried his teacher what to do. She said that he couldn't come to school if he's sick, and we should contact the corona information number asap.

Well I called the number, but they said I need to take him to our local community health center for a checkup. I'll have to arrange that tomorrow.

Now that the schools have started, the kids will be bringing all kinds of things home from their school, and we've got to worry again.

I wonder how soon they will end up closing their doors this time, and move the kids back to distance learning. The "new normal", as people call it.


A few days ago I asked you guys if you knew what these thingies were.

I gave a hint that when they are in use, they would be spinning.

No-one guessed though. They are actually parts from an old hard drive. These are used to hold the spinning magnetic disks attached to the main axel and the motor.

I tried watching some of your videos on LBRY, but had to give up, because they refused to load. Are the filesizes really big?

Also, the videos on the other channels I tried loaded up instantly.

I think it might be a similar problem I noticed on both DTube and IPFS, that since there are not too many copies of some files around, it takes forever for them to aggregate and to be watchable.

It is a chicken and egg problem. You need viewers who keep a copy of your content, and your content needs to be seen to get viewers.

In the peer-to-peer world it kind of sucks if you haven't got a huge audience from the start.

If I can get your videos downloaded I'll try to keep a copy of them for a while just to help you out. As I said I've got a pretty fast connection, so it should help.

Yes I agree with those decentralized apps. You can watch short video exercise samples, they may download faster.
