Weekly and Fresh πŸ“Έ (26/52)

Hi Hive!

Ok, it's been 26 weeks.

So, Yesterday, a disaster struck, as my computer's CPU suddenly overheated.

Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200851] CPU1: Core temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events
= 34405)
Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200852] CPU5: Core temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events
= 34405)
Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200853] CPU6: Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total even
ts = 41879)
Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200855] CPU3: Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = 41879)
Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200856] CPU4: Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = 41879)
Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200857] CPU2: Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = 41879)
Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200858] CPU7: Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = 41879)
Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200859] CPU0: Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = 41879)
Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200860] CPU5: Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = 41879)
Aug 2 00:06:34 corsair kernel: [84677.200862] CPU1: Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = 41879)

I have no idea what caused it. I wonder if there's something wrong with the fan.

Hopefully it is not completely broken, and I don't have to buy a new one.

It's working now, but I think I need to keep an eye on the temperatures.

But it's a good thing cryptos have been rallying. (Though Yesterday could've been a good moment to sell and then re-accumulate today, but I failed to follow-up on that intuition.πŸ˜’)

Let's hope Hive (and other cryptos) will moon soon, so I'll be able to afford a new working computer.

Every so often I spray off my components with the can air to blow out the dust. Seems to help. Good luck.

I use the vacuum cleaner. I'm of the opposite school of thought where we think blowing air into the components makes the dust go deeper.

I've been neglecting the vacuuming though. (Maybe I should move on to liquid cooling and forget dust issues altogether...)
