Some are milked harder than others

I have been playing on and off with following more community specific curation accounts to slightly better use all my VP for certain tokens.

Most communities seem to show up on Leodex but not all, for now though I think the main two that irritate me is Proof of Brain and Leo.

The above image is of my one account which I delegate to and has most tokens delegated to it. After fiddling a bit and figuring out to also follow Leo.voter and other random .leo accounts it seems be voting more often and keeping VP in the 80% and below range.

Cine and Stem on the same account are hit and miss at best but at least not stuck at 100%.

It is odd though considering I follow about 20 "curation" accounts some more general but at least one specific to the tokens.

One that is definitely not a issue to have reliable voting power being used is Proof of Brain and I have now moved that to its own account.

It actually needs to recover voting power so I have adjusted the voting weight a bit. Mainly because even though the Leo, Stem, Cine account follows many trails they pissed me off by being stuck at 100% etc.

So I had the POB one also set high and each of these alt accounts run on hive.vote down to 1% voting power before it stops voting.

Seeing as with them the Hive vote means nothing.

I at least have them follow my own personal vote and then addition they follow the curation trails. When I get a chance I will look at tweaking it a bit more since I think on the multi token one with Leo, Stem and Cine there surely has to be one reliable account on each that "curates".

It is minuscule the rewards I might be getting but as @thehive always said... something, something a penny a day.

POB is probably the best earner, with it increasing by about 5% the past two weeks in total tokens staked.

Now I am usually late to some proverbial party, but it is fun enough fiddling with optimizing the curation for each and passively gaining. Maybe we get 100 more communities and then cents become dollars... Who knows, anyway I am far too lazy to go around selling for 5 cents here and there.

Not that I don't aggregate some things into another.

One thing I do want to look at is a dynamic unified dash for all my voting power, like Leodex but with all the new tokens also.

Anyhow, not sure how you are dealing with the bits and bobs in hive engine but that is what I have been doing when I am staring into space at work.

Hi @penderis. Please, how do I find this data on leodex.? I barely even know if I am using my Hive engine voting power enough so I delegated them just to be on a safe side.

It is under the rewards menu option in leodex it will show most of the VP for the main tokens. Some of the newer ones are not there like oneup, fun etc but I think most of us have some substantial POB and or LEO which is there to at least try manage. If you have delegated them out then maybe that ROI is good enough? Else yeah you can try using that to at least have an overview of sorts. I delegate to an alt with no HP so its only job is to use my tokens vote and then I set the alt account to follow my own vote and to follow curation accounts. POB is large enough that I put it on its own account and maybe if another becomes used a lot more then I will split it more but to start just a single complete " community token" account worked for me quite well. It just votes everything haha.

I am hardly able to keep track of other tokens since most frontends are individual token-specific. Perhaps, we need a universal frontend for all the hive-engine community tokens which will help for better curation. Just a thought.

Yes, leodex still only shows the OG tokens like POB and NEOXAG but it would be nice if they updated it to show all new communities that have outposts. I was looking at making one but I am super lazy and not that smart so will ask if they can rather update it. :P !PIZZA !LOLZ

Hihi. I have started looking at the developer documentations. Maybe I will be the one to make one unifying frontend

Sounds like a plan, you can maybe chat with @leprechaun he knows @ecency pretty well and possibly a "community mode" switch can be added that changes the mode or an option to just enable display of all community token VP and or reward types on a post. Fiddling with the outposts code I think might not be so great for lognterm maintenance.

Indeed, @penderis.

@tj4real1, merging the source codes has become so daunting that perhaps it is a good idea to start with the latest Ecency development source and try to get it running on a VPS host somewhere or your local computer. Then paste in the source code from my project in order to get support for other tokens. In particular there are two file trees with the same name. The one in the Ecency main development line was created after I forked to make the source code of proofofbrain.blog. The other one is in a branch of my fork (proofofbrain.blog source) in github.com/steemfiles/ecency-vision. The branch name is called 'no-dynamic-txes'.

If you do want to run Ecency on your local computer, y ou can use "export USE_PRIVATE=1." This is mandatory if you want to be able to login. @fernandosoder is talking about changes he would like to see.

I was able to get an instance of Ecency's source running on this computer I use. Constructive criticisms are welcome.

Who knows, anyway I am far too lazy to go around selling for 5 cents here and there.

That's actually how I first began to grow a trading account... Anything over a 500 sat trade wasn't happening. Most were under 200 sats. And I must have had like 50 trades going on at once 😂

It was time consuming, but more came in than went out, and I developed my own crazy system. Unfortunately I'm hopeless with those prediction charts though...

Alt accounts? Those are on my mile long to do list!

Yeah, maybe I should look at one of these hive-engine trading bots but for now the benefit is most tokens can get staked so I am just trying to optimize my staked earnings. Next time you have 3 hive laying around just go to peaked and say create account then boom you have an alt :P
I have one from when I did actifit, then I have 2 community accounts and another one called penned-bullshit which was supposed to be for bullshit but I am too lazy for even that bullshit !PIZZA !LOLZ

Oh, I didn't use bots, it was all manual 🤣 Not entirely a bad thing, considering if you watch what any one thing does on any particular exchange, you begin to see what's likely to happen next. My favorite exchange is still doing fine, but sadly the one I learned on looks like it's getting ready to close 😢 I miss it...

Sorry, I ran out of tokens for today

I've started a power down of some of the layer 2 tokens where I have very low value... even after months... and am just going to consolidate them to Hive or to a single layer 2 token. The thing is, they are just sitting there, insufficient to provide any VP for the token or any curation rewards. Best to do something with them. Always interesting reading what you are doing with your tweaks !LOLZ !LUV !PIZZA

I should do that also possibly, soon when I am bored as fuck. So probably during work sometime. !PIZZA !LOLZ
