Nothing like a month end pump and new clients to make for a post on Leo Finance!

I have always loved Leo Finance for the blockchain gateway it is for financial enthusiasts. I have held and staked every token from the initial airdrop and supported my old friend @khaleelkazi just for the sake of it. It is an honour to be in the the Day-1 section so I may as well contribute with some financial perspective from my wild world on https://leofinance.io/

This edition, we ride the big Hive pump and share basics for #shoplocal small business digital marketing leveraging blockchain for entrepreneurs.

Hive - What a week!

Two weeks ago, I was tickled pink at seeing the small pump that made me happy when considering the Hive vs Steem Mexican stand off. Things were looking up then I thought but I had no idea.

From that point, I made sure to snap a pic of another pulse so that I could throw it up on the #crypto channel in the discord server the guys call home. It seemed @nathanmars might actually get his Christmas wish of $2 Hive! Either way, we were holding 3x what we were the week before.

That's where we saw the big fireworks. Hive was up over $3 and had broken right back into the top 100 where it belongs! We were all thousandaires! Some more. What a day to be alive and yet this was just the beginning. As of now, the huge ups have only been met with reasonable corrections. Some disconnected whales are going to take profit for effort put in years ago. Time for the tokens to shake out of the dormant accounts and make their way back into the portfolios of the new wave of dolphins.

Presently, we are still well over $2 per Hive and I have a bunch of hopeful $1.99 limit buys, knowing it is going to be much more expensive to rescue Hive off exchanges. Oh! It is #HPUD day!

Looking at this image, I am underwhelmed at the 69 Hive powerup and wincing at paying so much of my HBD for only 11.8 Hive. Things change and that is not such a bad thing. I managed to spend the month banking some solid HP because of the awesome network of friends I have developed organically over the past 3 years. I have also stubbornly stuffed 200 HBD into savings for some interest and a rainy day if there is a big dip in Hive value. Not only that, 70 Hive at the coinmarketcap price equals $165 USD I am choosing to lock into the blockchain. Another $200 locked into savings and it is a small step in the right direction.

Will I regret not turning the HBD into Hive at this low rate? Possibly. Problem I don't mind having because it will mean a much greater appreciation in value of my locked in stake.

Speaking of pumps, me and my boy @enginewitty are rolling in it now! One of my favourite witnesses issued his own token on Hive Engine a while ago because pimpin' ain't easy and he likes to make it rain. I powered up the initial stake and every little bit that came my way with curation of the other token hodlers. There were a couple small dips that I bought with swap.hive and then PIMP completely dropped off the first page of my @leo.finance portal at https://leodex.io The pimp simply told me it was because someone sold off their tokens and the low liquidity makes it do funky things. As of now, I have enough tokens to pay for my first #hivefest which I have been looking forward to for years.

We are rich biotch! :)

Digital Marketing

As long-time followers might know, while existing on this blockchain over the years, @sequentialvibe and I have had quite the adventure launching a digital marketing company https://towncriermarketing.ca with another amazing local partner in this small town. We haven't really gotten started with @town-crier on the blockchain but we have huge plans.

• Google Business Profile - CLAIM THAT! Just do it whether or not you believe in Google, decentralized search engines or the whole online game. It will be the lynch pin for your business online, will enable you to engage directly with your prospects, deliver business metrics, and it is free. It may take a couple weeks for a snail mail postcard to arrive with a validation code but worth it.
• Mailing List - Mailing lists have ebbed and flowed when it comes to their legitimacy and value but they are still the bread and butter of the small business. Make them an exclusive club loaded with inside stories, deals and inclusion into the culture of your brand. Consider offering a huge prize in exchange for people signing up. Imagine having a few hundred emails of people who are interested in your service. Do it!
• Social Media - Posting your content on centralized social media platforms is great for brand recognition and direct engagement but does nothing for your SEO. Making sure that all of your social media platforms is singing from the same hymn book and linking back to your webpage, that is something. Making your webpage a sales platform is something else and having calls to action to drive buying traffic to your site is next level. There is a lot of noise out there so talk to a local pro on how to cut through and turn YOUR content in to YOUR sales.

In short, there a a whole bunch of things that will combine for a successful, do it yourself marketing strategy. The good news is that each of them are rather straight-forward and simple to automate. You just have to learn some new tricks, know it is a valuable long game, and hopefully have a local company to help you build your strategy.

There will be big things to come with @town-crier and we will make sure to not only build blockchain into our vision and execution, we will remember the blockchain that gave us our start and inspiration. The one where we can share our findings for the good of all small businesses.
