Check Your Shoes Before Wearing Them
Do you check your shoes before wearing them?
If not, you might as well make it a habit so that you won't get a gruesome surprise when you wear them.
It has been raining here in our place and I bring slippers to avoid my shoes from getting wet. On Wednesday, I left my shoes at my workplace and wore slippers going home because the clogged drainage outside has overflowed once again.
The men are still working on getting the trash out of the drainage but they are going very slow. The men had to get inside and I can't imagine how much they had to endure when it already smells awful outside.
Yesterday, I went to work wearing my slippers and since they are wet, I decided to switch to my shoes. But before I put my feet on, I checked on them and poured out the dirt which has come inside.
It was the right shoes that I picked first and nothing happened, now it came for its pair to check on, something bumped on my hand. I was shocked because I did not leave anything there teh night before. When I peeked a look, I saw a pair of eyes looking back at me.
It was a funny incident at work, good thing I don't shout whenever I get a surprise, or else everybody in the office will be worried about what happened.
I told everybody, of course, Jessa shrieked as she was very afraid of those animals. I brought the frog outside to set it free. It must have gotten lost while searching for shelter from last night's rain and accidentally gotten inside the office and hid inside my shoe.
It was an American frog, it's not harmful but I still chose not to wear my shoes that day. I've set it free and left it on the lawn, He probably knows his way home and I bid him farewell.
It's not only frogs that can hide inside your shoes; teh same incident happed long ago( that is whey I'm vigilant about shoes) A rat hid inside my shoe and I almost crushed it. Gross, right? Hair on my arm stood as I remembered the scene back then.
The same thing happened to some of my friends and family, Cockroaches, and other harmful insects can hide inside the shoe and can harm you so better check teh shoes before wearing them.

That's a real nice hiding place for a toad, hopefully it ate the scorpion that was inside the shoe lol. We had to check our shoes for spiders and scorpions where I grew up.
That's worse! Im lad you grew up not being bitten by those. Form where are you?
I'm from the Arizona desert, lots of snakes, spiders and scorpions and even a few really huge toads. The toads would usually be kicking the tarantulas out of their underground holes as a hiding spot from the sun during the day.
wow! That's quite a popular place. Is living in a desert okay? Ph is a tropical place and I've never been to other countries.
I just can't imagine the horrors of those animals that could creep inside your shoes especially the tarantula
