The Masters of Manipulation

War is an ugly affair of "resolving conflicts" as they claim it to be. 99% of the time if not more, those conflicts aren't even worthy to start with, at least for the people who do the fighting.

What can be a worthy conflict to die for anyways? What conflict cannot be resolved by dialog and civil debate instead?

But then again, a civil debate between who? Are people in general really capable of such civil debates and dialogs to resolve their imagined conflicts?

I mean, for sure. Many are, but those who are capable of doing that, usually don't have many conflicts with others if any to begin with.

Then, on the other hand. We have "the masses" the "sheeple" as they are commonly referred to. Those who are arguably living in a blessing of not being aware enough of what's going on, usually solely follow their emotions and their spoon-fed narrative, a narrative that has been crafted by artists of manipulation and deceit.

Don't get me wrong, however, I'm not claiming to be an elitist, "above" the masses, or anything unique, neither am I against emotions in general.

But the negative effects of emotions when the mind is absent can be catastrophic.

Emotions as so easily manipulated and directed in whatever direction a manipulator pleases. If one's mind isn't always as sharp (which is almost impossible) and skeptical all the time, they can easily fall prey to the devil's mouth, so to speak.

And even the sharpest will slip from time to time, not for the lack of intelligence, but for the enormous amount of misinformation that is being spewed 24/7.

Once we slide into emotions during even the briefest absence of mind, our judgment quickly gets clouded, and we can easily become like other animals, fueled only by our most basic instincts.

Hate, anger, and fear, are 3 of the most dangerous emotions to play with, and that triad of emotions is exactly what those masters of manipulation love to induce and tinker with.

Hate can get a pacifist to even kill!
Anger is fuel and ignition.
Fear is at the base of them both, a trigger that guarantees the functioning of the most basic "fight or flight" mechanism every creature has.

Inducing fear is their most cherished way to profiteer.

Combine those 3, however, and you got the most deadly combination the world has ever known.

Guns and bombs don't kill people, people kill people. You can't blame the pen for what a writer writes, nor can you blame a bullet for where it was aimed at!

People kill people.

And manipulated people often do the dirty bidding of the manipulators, unaware. The masters merely provide them with the tools and most importantly they provide them with the mood!

Fear, anger, and hate are their easiest merchandise to sell. Seemingly, they never run out and they're always in demand, thanks to all the advertising they keep running everywhere without a break.

A ticking time bomb placed in every home and in every mind, ready to be triggered by those who planted it at their convenient time.

Whether it is an apparent peace, or be it war times. The manipulation of the people never ceases! They are always hammered 24/7 with the appropriate tools to keep them ready for when their proper use could come.

Always ready as such, a few days of targeted propaganda will trigger all that was planted and can be sufficient to polarize them enough to be at each other's throats. Figuratively and literally speaking!

Big gains come for those who do the manipulation, economic gains, land, resources, armies. whatever you can think of. It's all the same goal in the end.
All about power!
Achieving it, keeping it, and growing it is what's on their mind non-stop.

Maybe we can't know all the facts all the time, maybe we're too busy in life to care to know the truth from between all the lies.

Fear not, for each of us possesses a compass that can be used to navigate with, and guide us to safety through those high waves.

Love, compassion, and kindness towards other fellow humans, or even all creatures for that matter can be your best friend. If the way you're heading doesn't align with that compass, then surely you went astray.

It would not only free us from their destructive grip, but it would also change the world around us, making the journey we call life much more pleasant, vibrant, and much less gray.

If you think about it, you'd find that most if not all of our bad impulses stem from our ego.
Ego is at the center of it all. Hate, anger, fear, greed, envy, and many more bad traits are all products of an unhealthy relationship with the self. Those things will destroy you from the inside out, you won't be noticing it until it's too late.

Not that the ego is entirely a bad thing. Many good traits can come from the ego, but it all comes down to how well we can be our own masters of it.

Control it well, and you'd have its positives. Fail to do so, and get ready for it to be in control of your life.

Simply put,
If you are not the master of your own ego, someone else will be!

Those who mastered their art, those who amassed so much power and influence already, will ride it and use it until you are no use for them anymore. And they surely don't have your best interest in mind.

If you want to know who controls you, look at who you are not allowed to criticize.

*ehem* This is khoola Droplet of VYB Curation Project 😂

Thank you for using our tags #proofofbrain and #vyb

True, wars are the product of manipulation but most people can't do anything about it. We can't blame soldiers for pointing their guns at their supposedly "enemies". Nor can we blame the masses who want to just keep themselves out of harms way and protect their loved ones.

Greed is the reason for manipulation... using fear as their trigger to get what they want.

as of now can't see a way to break that chain 😞

We upvoted you using our tokens POB and VYB you might not see em... I can suggest using proofofbrain.blog to check the tokens you were upvoted with :)

Ahahaha. Hello Mr.Droplet! 😁❤

My suggestion was that inner compass 🧭. Hard to be tuned with at times, but I see it as a good start to correct the path that we might be taking.

Thank you for your lovely comment and curation my friend!

Madd thing, OMG!🔥🔥
This is amazing, wow🤯🤯
Love, compassion and kindness trumps hate, fear and anger.
Reminds me of a daily confession my Sunday school teacher made us say growing up
"For God hasn't given us the spirit of fear, but if love, peace and a sound mind" we lived on that.

What a master piece. The ending quote blew me off completely
"If you want to know who controls you, look at who you are not allowed to criticize.

That's one great Sunday school teacher. If only they would teach more of that in schools instead of being tools for the power machine.

I really liked your post @yaziris it contains many truths and reflections. I agree with you that hate, anger and fear are powerful weapons and the perfect combination for disaster. You spoke of a compass which is perfect, we all have them. But just that external influence of those who want to take us where they need us or how they need us can misalign that compass. That is why we must keep it calibrated so that it functions well, oiling it and adjusting it with those other good qualities that contrast these first three. Besides, not believing ourselves superior to others, preferring to give rather than receive, being compassionate, kind, patient, not feeling offended easily, are so many things that protect us from falling into the trap. Many times it is not easy because we are imperfect and apparently there is an innate tendency towards pride and indifference, but what each one of us resolves in our heart will make the difference. I once read somewhere "give power to the man and you will know him", and how true those words have been. It was a pleasure to read you 😉

Thank you for the beautiful words @marbrym. Yes, I totally agree with you about the compass needing the periodic calibrations.

I guess it has also to be a process of balancing the mind with the emotions, as neither should function on its own without the help of the other. A mind without emotions might lead to psychopathology, and pure emotions (even the good ones not the bad) can also lead to imbalance and bad results, such as naivety and getting taken advantage of for example. As we sadly don't live in a perfect world where everyone have good intentions.

So as you said, a constant tuning and adjusting would help.

I also fully agree that no one is perfect, and it's true that power corrupts people easily.

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading, and of course for that thoughtful and wise comment!

😉 It is good to reflect on these issues, which go beyond the superficial. Especially in this world where we play the race against time and many times we do not stop to think and reflect or do a self-examination. This kind of articles help us to become aware even of our inner self, so we can see where we fail and where we need to improve.
