Introduction

Hello, friends in The Anime Realm Community this is my first post in this community, I did not expect to find a community whose contents are related to Anime and something related to it. I am very interested in sharing some fascinating posts with all of my friends. I've loved Anime since I was little when I first watched Doraemon, Crayon Sinchan, and One Piece, until now I have watched countless.

Anime is a spectacle that has a lot of positive impact on me even though many people out there think that watching Anime is only for children, and this is not true. In my opinion, many Anime is intended for 17+ because they contain content that is not worth watching for children and a storyline that only adults will understand. In this post, I will tell one of the Anime that I think is underrated but has an interesting story with a deep message about meaning and living as a fellow human being. Happy reading!

Death Parade

Death Parade is a Japanese anime that aired in 2015, produced by Madhouse Studio Animation, all story ideas from Death Parade were developed originally by Madhouse, unlike other anime that are generally adapted from manga or bestselling novels in Japan.

Death Parade has a genre that combines many elements in it like Drama, Thriller, Game, Psychological, and Mystery combined into one story, which I think is very interesting and has a moral message about life in each episode.

Storyline

This anime begins with Two people who wake up in a dark bar, and when they walk, they will be greeted by a bartender who greets them with the words "Come on in. Welcome to Quendecim", then they will be asked to participate in a game that asks participants to risk their lives.

The bartender acts as a Judge in the games played by the participants, he decides who has the right to win in the game. The initial story of Death Parade made the audience think and guess the purpose of the game that must be followed by people who had just woken up, not to mention the audience was confused about the background of the participants who would join in the game.

Little by little, the mystery began to open where the participants who suddenly woke up in the Bar were humans who had just died, and they were in Decim, which is a place for judgment, the goal of the game is to determine who is bad and good. Those who have bad qualities will enter the Void Realm, while those who are good will be sent to Reincarnation. A person goes to reincarnation or the void realm is determined by his actions during life, and when participating in the game in the Quendecim Bar, participants who play the game initially do not remember what happened before, their memories will also be seen as the game progresses.

In each episode, the audience will also think about how the game will be won, and the dramatic feelings between players will also be felt. The moral message in each incident experienced by players will be different in each episode. Each game has elements that are mixed from painful to deadly that will be experienced by players, coupled with the psychic conditions and drama that occurs during the game, I can't forget this Anime even though it's been years.

The animation quality presented by Death Parade is pretty solid and pleasing to the eye coupled with a story full of mixed feelings that makes this Death Parade one of my favourite Anime.

Another thing that I can't forget about Death Parade is the Opening Song, which is not in line with the dark and dark content of the story, the audience will be happy at the Opening, and when they enter the story the atmosphere immediately changes.

The next thing that I can't forget about this anime is the Ending Song entitled "Last Theater" by NoisyCell whose lyrics describe the dramatic atmosphere as in the anime story itself.

Conclusion

Anime with the Afterlife Genre has indeed been present and managed to provide a different story in each title, like the Death Parade, in my opinion, is recommended to watch. Although its release almost 7 years ago did not make this anime old school, the visuals presented by Madhouse Studio were very good with results that were not much different from the current anime.

The music for this show has been on my playlist for some weeks. It's good and leaves a lasting impression as a psychological and existential plot.
