5 Minute Freewrite - Up The Chimney

Doing a challenge on 5 minute Freewrite, please see below for my story:

It was Christmas Eve, and little Tommy was excitedly waiting for Santa Claus to come down the chimney and deliver his presents. He had been good all year, and he knew Santa would bring him something special.

As the clock struck midnight, Tommy heard a faint jingling sound coming from the roof. He rushed to the fireplace and peered up the chimney, but all he could see was darkness.

Suddenly, there was a loud thud, and a puff of soot filled the room. Tommy coughed and rubbed his eyes, trying to see what was happening.

To his amazement, he saw Santa Claus climbing down the chimney, his bag of presents slung over his shoulder.

"Hello, Tommy!" Santa boomed. "I see you've been a very good boy this year."

Tommy's eyes widened in wonder as Santa pulled out a beautifully wrapped present from his bag.

"Here you go, Tommy," Santa said with a smile. "Merry Christmas!"

Tommy beamed with joy as he unwrapped his present. It was exactly what he had wanted – a toy train set that he could play with for hours on end.

As Santa climbed back up the chimney, Tommy watched in awe, knowing that this was a Christmas he would never forget.
