Good afternoon, friends! I hope you're having a wonderful week and that your day is going great. I'm so happy to be back here again to share a creative idea I'm really excited about. This time, I'm bringing you a detailed step-by-step tutorial for creating a charming decoration for a child's room. This time, I wanted to focus specifically on the children's area, so I designed something thinking about the tenderness and joy they inspire.

🌟 PROCEDIMIENTO | 🌟 PROCESS
✨PASO 1:
Lo primero de cada manualidad es tomar una hoja blanca y dibujar el diseño que tenemos en mente para la habitación del pequeño. En este caso quise dibujar un lindo ratoncito, con su pijama de rayas y un gorrito. Además, también se me vino la idea de que lo acompañara una nube que en el centro tendría una palabra, mensaje o frase, pero eso lo pensaría después, junto con unas estrellas que acompañen a la nube. Al estar listo el diseño de lo que quería para esta decoración, es momento de transferir a los colores correspondientes de foami, como explico a continuación:
✨Cabeza: 3.5 cm x 3 cm en foami gris.
✨Orejas: 2.5 cm x 2 cm en foami gris.
✨Cuerpo, brazos y patas: 3.5 cm x 4 cm en foami gris.
✨Hocico: 1.5 cm x 1 cm en foami crema.
✨Gorro: 3 cm x 3.5 cm en foami azul.
✨Partes del gorro: 3 cm x 1 cm en foami blanco.
✨Pijama: 2.5 cm x 2 cm y 1 cm en foami azul.
✨Nube: 7 cm x 4 cm en foami blanco.
✨Estrellas: 2 cm en foami amarillo.
✨STEP 1:
The first step in any craft project is to take a blank sheet of paper and draw the design you have in mind for the child's room. In this case, I wanted to draw a cute little mouse, wearing striped pajamas and a hat. I also had the idea of adding a cloud with a word, message, or phrase in the center, but I would think of that later, along with some stars to accompany the cloud. Once the design was ready, it was time to transfer it to the corresponding colors of foam, as explained below:
✨Head: 3.5 cm x 3 cm in gray foam.
✨Ears: 2.5 cm x 2 cm in gray foam.
✨Body, arms, and legs: 3.5 cm x 4 cm in gray foam.
✨Snout: 1.5 cm x 1 cm in cream foam.
✨Hat: 3 cm x 3.5 cm in blue foam. Hat pieces: 3 cm x 1 cm in white foam.
✨Pajamas: 2.5 cm x 2 cm and 1 cm in blue foam.
✨Cloud: 7 cm x 4 cm in white foam.
✨Stars: 2 cm in yellow foam.

✨PASO 2:
Al tener todas las piezas recortadas, es momento de dar color a los bordes, con pinturas o marcadores, y como siempre digo, tienen que ser colores que hagan contraste, como en el caso del ratón, que utilicé un color negro; en el del pijama utilicé azul oscuro, en el hocico, un marrón, para la nube, un azul y para las estrellas, un color más oscuro.
✨STEP 2:
Once all the pieces are cut out, it's time to color the edges with paints or markers. As I always say, the colors should contrast, like black for the mouse, dark blue for the pajamas, brown for the snout, blue for the cloud, and a darker color for the stars.

✨PASO 3:
Al estar secas las piezas, le di color a la parte interna de las orejas con un marcador color rosa y dibujé detalles específicos como ojos, nariz, boca, definí mucho mejor el cuerpo, el gorro, la pijama y le hice unas rayas con azul oscuro. En cuanto a la nube, le escribí en medio “Good night”.
✨STEP 3:
Once the pieces are dry, I colored the inside of the ears with a pink marker and drew specific details like eyes, nose, and mouth. I further defined the body, hat, and pajamas, and added stripes with dark blue. I wrote "Good night" in the middle of the cloud.
✨PASO 4:
Ahora debemos hacer lo que será la base o colgante de esta decoración; en este caso tomaremos una cartulina metalizada azul porque me da un color verde, según cómo lo veas. Le quise dar un diseño sencillo, pero para lo que será el colgante, lo hice con diseño de gancho de ropa, jaja. Las medidas fueron de 16.5 cm x 7.5 cm.
✨STEP 4:
Now we need to make the base or pendant for this decoration. In this case, we'll use blue metallic cardstock because it gives off a greenish tint, depending on how you look at it. I wanted to give it a simple design, but for the pendant, I made it with a clothespin design, haha. The measurements were 16.5 cm x 7.5 cm.

✨PASO 5:
Finalmente, pegamos las piezas hasta armar por completo al ratón, junto con su pijama y detalles como el gorro, seguido de la nube junto con sus estrellas en uno de los laterales, y pegamos en el colgante, dejando al ratón en la parte baja y en la parte superior la nube, con un poco de distancia entre cada una.
✨STEP 5:
Finally, we glue the pieces together to completely assemble the mouse, along with its pajamas and details like the hat, followed by the cloud and stars on one side. We then glue these onto the pendant, placing the mouse at the bottom and the cloud at the top, with a little space between them.

In my case, I wanted to make something simple so that the decoration would be the main focus, and I also think it's a very cute design.
