Good afternoon, friends! I hope you're having a wonderful week. I'm happy to stop by and share a lovely idea with you. This time, I'm sharing the step-by-step instructions for making a cute wall hanging for your home. Well, it can be for anywhere (in my case, I made it with a bedroom door in mind). It's been a while since I shared some cute happy birds haha, so I wanted to bring you this fun idea.

✂️ MATERIALES | ✂️ MATERIALS
- Cartulina blanca.
- Foami verde, marrón, azul y rosa.
- Cinta delgada.
- Pinturas y marcadores.
- Pegamento.
- Tijeras.
- Regla.
- Hoja blanca.
- Lápiz.
- White cardstock.
- Green, brown, blue, and pink craft foam.
- Thin ribbon.
- Paints and markers.
- Glue.
- Scissors.
- Ruler.
- White paper.
- Pencil.
🌟 PROCEDIMIENTO | 🌟 PROCESS
✨PASO 1:
Lo primero que debemos hacer es tomar una hoja blanca y dibujar lo que tenemos en mente para este colgante. En mi caso, pensé en una base circular básica donde iría un árbol, el cual lleva una curvatura en el borde con la forma de la circunferencia. Además, quería que la decoración fuera un pájaro sobre el árbol y el otro llegando a casa. Así que, al tener la idea lista y dibujada en la hoja blanca, pasé el diseño a los colores correspondientes de foami con las siguientes medidas:
✨Hojas de árbol: 12.2 cm x 5.8 cm en foami verde.
✨Tronco y saliente: 10 cm x 4 cm y 5 cm x 1 cm en foami marrón.
✨Cuerpo y pico de los pájaros: 3.1 cm x 1.5 cm en foami rosa y azul.
✨Alas: 2 cm x 1 cm en foami rosa y azul.
✨STEP 1:
The first thing we need to do is take a blank sheet of paper and draw what we have in mind for this pendant. In my case, I envisioned a basic circular base where a tree would go, with a curved edge following the shape of the circle. I also wanted the decoration to be one bird perched on the tree and another arriving home. So, with the idea ready and drawn on the blank sheet of paper, I transferred the design to the corresponding colors of foam with the following measurements:
✨Tree leaves: 12.2 cm x 5.8 cm in green foam.
✨Trunk and protrusion: 10 cm x 4 cm and 5 cm x 1 cm in brown foam.
✨Bird body and beak: 3.1 cm x 1.5 cm in pink and blue foam.
✨Wings: 2 cm x 1 cm in pink and blue foam.

✨PASO 2:
Una vez recortadas las piezas, es momento de dar color a los bordes con pinturas o marcadores. En mi caso (y como la gran mayoría de las veces), utilicé marcadores de un tono más oscuro que el de cada pieza; pero en el caso del árbol, para que hiciera más contraste, utilicé color negro.
✨STEP 2:
Once the pieces are cut out, it's time to color the edges with paints or markers. In my case (and as is usually the case), I used markers in a darker shade than each piece; but for the tree, to create more contrast, I used black.

✨PASO 3:
Al estar secas las piezas, es momento de dibujar los detalles más específicos con marcadores, como serían los ojos, las mejillas, el pico y los detalles en las alas, además de definir el árbol y sus hojas con unas líneas lindas.
✨STEP 3:
Once the pieces were dry, it was time to draw the more specific details with markers, such as the eyes, cheeks, beak, and wing details, as well as outlining the tree and its leaves with some nice lines.

✨PASO 4:
Dejamos las piezas a un lado y tomamos la cartulina blanca. Recortamos una pieza circular de 14 cm de diámetro, en la cual escribí la palabra “WELCOME” justo en el espacio vacío del diseño que tenía pensado. Seguidamente, le di fondo con un color azul, añadí detalles extras (como algunos puntos distribuidos por toda la pieza) y remarqué la palabra con marcador negro.
✨STEP 4:
We set the pieces aside and took the white cardstock. We cut out a 14 cm diameter circle, on which I wrote the word "WELCOME" right in the empty space of the design I had planned. Next, I added a blue background, extra details (like some dots distributed throughout the piece), and outlined the word with a black marker.

✨PASO 5:
Ahora sí, llegó el momento de unir todas estas piezas a la base. Comencé pegando el tronco y las hojas del árbol siguiendo la curvatura de la base; luego pegué las alas a los pájaros y fijé uno al tronco y el otro volando hacia el mismo lugar. Finalmente, pegamos una tira delgada de cinta en la parte superior trasera para poder colgarlo.
✨STEP 5:
Now it was time to attach all these pieces to the base. I started by gluing the tree trunk and leaves, following the curve of the base; Then I glued the wings to the birds and attached one to the trunk and the other flying towards the same spot. Finally, I glued a thin strip of ribbon to the top back so it could be hung.
