WELCOME TO HOI AN , VIETNAM
The picture with cute dog was taken during my trip to HOI AN , Vietnam. I think this is the most beautiful place in Vietnam which full of light at the night. Dont get me wrong , there is a lot beautiful place in Vietnam , but with the night light vibes , HOI AN is the best .
Historically , HOI AN is part of CHAM KINGDOM port which controlled strategic spice trade with Indonesia from the 7th to 10th century and was an international port in the 16th and 17th centuries. Source
One of the famous architecture in HOI AN is the Japanese Bridge , which was build since 1593 LINK and also known as Cầu Nhật Bản . The bridge was build to across the river to reach the Chinese quarters for the textile job. There were many legends and tales about those bridge which you can READ IN THIS LINK
My journey to HOI AN is start from DANANG , VIETNAM . It was a night journey which the bus take me from my hotel with other visitor. There is not only tourist on those trip but also many of the local. We reach at HOI AN around 7 pm which a good time to walk around the Night Market. The market is so beautiful with all the light and the lantern.
But before we have self-time for night walk , our tour guide bring us to the oldest house in HOI AN , Tan Ky Old House to give us some brief information about HOI AN history.
After the short tour at the Tan Ky Old House , we were given 2 hours personal time to walk around the night market. This is my favorite time and i have been waiting for it since i reach there.
This is some of my picture on my tour , i hope you enjoy your virtual visit in HOI AN :
All lot of people release their lantern wish at the river.

Beautiful scenery of night life with traditional value. The lantern and lightning brings the sense of living in thousands years ago.
I agree with you. If the local wearing the traditional costume it gonna be awesome . but i think they ll wear it on occasion.
The lanterns are really beautiful during the night. It is in my dream to visit a place with this type of event / festival.
Come to Hoi An , Vietnam . It ll be like this every night . ;). Actually this is how they attract tourist to come to their town.
I can see why you like this town for night-time photography. There are Cham people in Cambodia too, but most Cambodian Cham are Muslim and most Vietnamese Cham are Hindu.
I see...the cham people in Cambodia also part of Cham Kingdom . Wahh there is a lot different between them .
