¡Visitando el Parque Nacional Cerro Copey con mucha niebla! [ESP/ENG]

¡Hola amigos!! ¿Como han estado?? Espero que muy bien, por mi parte me encuentro mejor gracias a Dios, con un poco de tiempo libre para poder escribir, la verdad me hacía mucha falta esto!! Pase una semana intensa de trabajo, tanto que no pude mostrarles nada de lo que hice esa semana, pero poco a poco iré contándoles, por ahora, quiero cumplir con este post que llevo muchísimo tiempo postergando jajaja, Diosss me he tardado demasiado por qué la vida de adulto responsable te quita tiempo, más, quiero dejar plasmado aquí este hermoso día, y como les prometí hace mucho, aquí les compartiré las fotografías que tome con mi cámara la última vez que visite la cierra, es decir, el Parque Nacional Cerro Copey!.

Pero no fue cualquier visita, pues Chris y yo teníamos meses esperando alguna temporada de lluvia o frío en general para poder ir con mucha niebla, y así fue!!! Aprovechando una tormenta que estaba pasando por Margarita, decidimos ir una mañana y waww, la emoción de poder subir la montaña con semejante paisaje y frío, nos tenía al borde de la locura jajaja, subir se me hizo más fácil esta vez, pues a pesar de estar ocupada, algo que nunca falta en mi rutina es el ejercicio, me ha ayudado muchísimo con problemas pasados de salud, por ende, es algo primordial en mi vida, gracias a ello, tengo buena resistencia y no me cuesta tanto subir, lo que si debo mejorar, es mi cardio, pues el corazón en algunas ocasiones se me acelero un poco demás, por lo que aumentaré el cardio en mi ejercicio diario.

Hablando de la montaña en sí, desde que comienzas a subir ves la niebla que baja sin parar, además se nota que el clima está aún más fresco, yo cometí el error de ir en short, pensé que la humedad me causaría calor, pero no pensé en el frío que me estaba esperando en la cima de la montaña jajaja, aun así, el camino fue perfecto, a cada rato nos invadía la niebla, más el clima fresco, el contraste de colores y el sonido de los animales, para mí no existe un mejor lugar que ese!.

Hey friends!! How have you been?? I hope you're all doing well. I'm feeling much better, thank God, and I have a little free time to write, which I really needed!! I had an intense week of work, so much so that I couldn't show you anything I did that week, but I'll tell you about it little by little. For now, I want to get around to this post that I've been putting off for ages, haha. Goodness, I've taken so long because being a responsible adult takes up so much time! But I want to capture this beautiful day here, and as I promised a long time ago, I'll share the photos I took with my camera the last time I visited the mountains, I mean, Cerro Copey National Park!

But it wasn't just any visit, because Chris and I had been waiting for months for a rainy or generally cold season so we could go in the fog, and that's exactly what happened!!! Taking advantage of a storm passing through Margarita Island, we decided to go one morning, and wow, the excitement of being able to climb the mountain with such a stunning landscape and the cold had us on the verge of madness, haha. The climb was easier this time because, despite being busy, exercise is always a part of my routine. It has helped me tremendously with past health problems, so it's essential in my life. Thanks to it, I have good stamina and the climb isn't too difficult. What I do need to improve is my cardio, as my heart rate sometimes gets a little too high, so I'll increase the cardio in my daily workout.

Speaking of the mountain itself, from the moment you start climbing you see the fog descending nonstop, and you can also tell the weather is even cooler. I made the mistake of wearing shorts; I thought the humidity would make me feel warm, but I didn't think about the cold that awaited me at the top of the mountain, haha. Even so, the hike was perfect. Every so often we were enveloped by fog, plus the cool weather, the contrast of colors, and the sound of the animals—for me, there's no better place than that!

Siempre que vengo, presto mucha atención, por si se aparece la mariposa azul, la cual he querido fotografiar desde hace años, más, sé que el sitio perfecto es hacia las pozas, aun así, no pierdo esperanzas, pude capturar a los famosos cangrejos de montaña, quienes siempre están listos para pelear, algunas flores y una linda mariposa, algo que nos sorprendió fue encontranos a "Panchita" casi llegando a la cima, no la habíamos visto abajo, por lo que nos pareció extraño su repentina aparición, además nos pedía algo con emoción, lo cual dedujimos que sería comida, la invitamos a terminar la ruta con nosotros, y una vez arriba, rodeados de naturaleza, muchísimo frío y niebla, compartimos nuestros panes aplastados con ella jajaja.

Bajar siempre es más rápido, o así lo siento yo, que por cierto, si van a la sierra, lleven zapatos cómodos o botas de senderismo, el calzado erróneo te dejará dolores en los dedos por dos días seguidos jajaja, eso lo aprendí la primera vez que vine, por ende, siempre vengo con mis botas todoterreno, Panchita se quedó arriba durmiendo, nosotros seguimos el descenso hasta llegar a la casita donde los guardias están, y para nuestra sorpresa Panchita ya estaba allí descansando, nos dio muchísima risa, pues ella es toda una pro de la selva, sabe atajos secretos que la hacen subir o bajar la montaña con mucha facilidad, toda una perrita aventurera!.

Por cierto, no se llama panchita, pero así le colocamos en medio de la montaña cuando la vimos por primera vez y se nos hizo gracioso, la verdad es que como amante de la naturaleza o mejor dicho, una orofila en cuerpo y alma, siempre disfrutaré muchísimo de este clima, sí, amo los días soleados y llenos de color, pero también adoro los grises, y los matices que estos reflejan, muy místico y celestial a mi parecer, espero que les gusten las fotos que tome, y si tienen la oportunidad de visitar el Cerro Copey con este clima, no lo desaprovechen!.

Whenever I come here, I pay close attention, hoping to spot the blue butterfly, which I've wanted to photograph for years. I know the perfect spot is near the pools, but I don't give up hope. I managed to capture some of the famous mountain crabs, who are always ready to fight, along with some flowers and a pretty butterfly. Something that surprised us was running into "Panchita" almost at the top. We hadn't seen her down below, so her sudden appearance seemed strange. She was excitedly asking us for something, which we assumed was food. We invited her to finish the hike with us, and once we were up there, surrounded by nature, freezing cold, and fog, we shared our squashed bread with her, haha.

Going down is always faster, or at least that's how it feels to me. By the way, if you're going to the mountains, wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots. The wrong footwear will leave your toes aching for two days straight, haha. I learned that the first time I came, so I always wear my all-terrain boots. Panchita stayed up top sleeping. We continued down until we reached the little house where the guards are, and to our surprise, Panchita was already there resting. It made us laugh so much because she's a real jungle pro. She knows secret shortcuts that let her go up or down the mountain with ease—quite the adventurous little dog!

By the way, it's not called Panchita, but that's what we called it when we first saw it in the middle of the mountain, and we thought it was funny. The truth is, as a nature lover, or rather, a mountain enthusiast through and through, I will always enjoy this kind of weather. Yes, I love sunny, colorful days, but I also adore the gray ones and the nuances they reflect—very mystical and celestial, in my opinion.
