Desert Night - Acoustic Guitar Improvisation

avatar

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Here is an improvisation on my Martin acoustic guitar tuned to dadgde. The open tuning allows for freedom across the fretboard when improvising. For this composition I programmed the drumbeats first in a 6/8 timing then played whatever came to mind on the guitar. The mood of the song kind of reminds me of mysterious environment of a desert at night with all the nocturnal critters rustling around in the darkness. Thanks for listening :-)

Nice jam, the reverberation on the higher notes is very trippy

I added a bit of effects in the high areas with Bias FX 2, its a mixture of reverb and delay.

Cool, looks like a nylon string classical guitar? Have you tried any open tunings on it?

It could be a good soundtrack for the crows when they are plotting on stealing food from eachother.
