Embracing Simple Joys: My Self-Introductory Post: Journey of Simple Living with Family and Appreciating the World Around Us
Amazing day, everyone! I am simply.rachel28. I am very happy to be part of the Hive Family, and I want to thank Ms. Antonette for introducing us to this wonderful opportunity. I am an English teacher for Chinese students in the Philippines. I teach from home, and I really love nature. I enjoy living a simple life with my small family, my son and my husband. We like to spend time together and enjoy the simple things that I can consider special to me in life.
Every day, I always love to feel simple moments. I love to sing my favorite songs and tell cute jokes to my son; I love when he laughs. Nature makes me feel calm and happy too. I like to see the trees, flowers, and birds. Sometimes, we visit my parents' house because there are many trees there and the life there is very peaceful and harmonious. Being in nature helps me relax and feel good. I believe it is important to take time to enjoy the world around us.
In my free time, I like to watch horror movies. I have loved scary movies since I was little. They are exciting and fun to watch! I still watch them with my brother when he visits. We sit together, eat snacks, and enjoy the thrill of the movie. It is a great way to bond and have fun. We laugh and scream together, and it makes our time special. I like my brother when he tells jokes too because sometimes, for him not to get scared easily, he makes serious things funny.
One of our family traditions is to eat yummy home-cooked food. We love to cook together and try new recipes. Sometimes, I make pancakes for snacks. They are fluffy and delicious! I like buko salad, or coconut salad, too, a kind of dessert that has coconut meat, evaporated milk, condensed milk, and some crackers to be mixed. It is fresh and sweet, and it makes us feel good. Doing and making those things together is a fun way to spend time as a family.
Life is very special to me, and I believe we should enjoy every moment. I learned to appreciate all things as I got older too, like a warm cup of my herbal coffee with my family. I think it is important to be thankful for what we have. I hope you will like my simple and heartfelt blog posts. I will always love to share my experiences with all of you. I am excited to meet you all and make new friends in the Hive Family! Let’s enjoy this journey together!

Welcome to Hive @simply.rachel28! I can relate to one of your family traditions, which is to eat home-cooked food. I suddenly missed home and our food, especially my Mom's food. We Filipinos love cooking and eating, and sad to say, I don't know how to cook; I just love to eat. 😅😂
