Stack in precious metals

I stack precious metals. This comes out of my "discretionary income". It is money that I can save or spend whichever way I please.

I buy precious metals monthly, going off a list. I prefer coins to generic silver. I choose generic silver for their designs, otherwise I will stick with coins. 1-ounce coins and fractional silver and gold in coins.. this is what I prefer. I shy away from hand-poured silver because I have enough of it. I buy what I like!1>Fear and Greed

It's very hard to separate emotion from money. I am certainly bad at it. Fear is a powerful motivator. It will get you to act irrationally. Those that can remove fear from their investment decisions... well, I tip my hat to them.

Greed is something that will set you back too because it will keep you from taking profits when you have to. We all know this intuitively. But it still grips us when we are in the middle of it.

There is less of the fear factor in precious metals.

You hold it, and you own it.

Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving

I like this one because I am guilty. Initially, I usually saved after I had spend. But I soon learned to save a percentage of my funds first before I spend, and it has been an awesome experience. Thanks for sharing these quotes.

Hello friend @silversaver888. I really love what you do and the advice you give.

I hope someday the situation improves and believe me I would really like to pile up silver, it is as you say an investment and a savings. Although I tell you something, if I were to get a collection like that, then I could not get rid of it, they are too beautiful hahahahahah.

I have some medals, chains, silver bracelets, but they are broken, I still have them saved. I have always liked silver more than gold, however I have some little gold things, what I have left, because out of necessity I have had to sell them, even my husband had to pawn his wedding ring and he did not tell me anything, it was a moment of extreme necessity and the saddest thing is that he could not pay and lost it, it hurt me a lot.

But mine remains, maybe one day we will have two pieces made from there, or we have talked about having two silver rings made, less expensive, I love them, and this way we can both wear them, here you can't wear gold because we can be robbed.

Don't be sad that your husband has to pawn the ring @dayadam . It served its purpose... just as I save in silver and gold for that purpose.
But silver and gold are not only the savings. First, you have to save CASH for emergencies, and emergency fund. Then payoff any debt, and then save towards retirement, and save in silver and gold.

I kid you not, I was not a saver. Until I came across the stacking community. I was no naive then, and the first video I watched said that you can't stack if you owe in credit card debts. I wanted to stack so much, that I paid what I owe, and save for emergencies at the same time.
And I continue to save first before spending as Jefferson said!
