Before anything, I first have to put this Silver Round into a 41 MM 2 oz Egyptian Gods Plastic Capsule to keep my Horus Round safe. It makes no sense to spend the money then be careless with the silver or gold. That's just me.

Horus was often represented by the falcon in Egyptian hieroglyphics. In ancient Egypt, pharaohs wore double crowns known as pschents on their heads. The falcon shown here wears a pschent.

In Egyptian mythology, Horus is more than a popular deity. The early Egyptians knew of Horus during the late prehistoric period, before the pharaohs of dynastic Egypt rose around 3100 BC, as a symbol of the god. Horus was still a well-known deity even after the Romans lost Egypt in 30 BC. His Eye of Horus remains a popular symbol in Egyptian culture today, as well as a national symbol.

The round is an ultra-high-relief strike.

This is achieved through several high-pressure strikes on the blank. The end result is a design element that has greater 3D relief and a background field with enhanced visual depth.

The Silver Round is 5.5 MM is thickness. It is manufacture by the Silvertowne, one of the largest and most trusted silver, gold, and numismatics dealers in the United States.

They are available from JM Bullion for $53.53, that's $26.79 per ounce, not expensive given today's spot price of $20.98

When I think Egypt I think of one of my father's favorite old movies, The 10 Commandments, starring Charlton Heston and Yul Brenner. The Egyptians had an amazing civilization.

Always, with love 🤗🌺❤️

A beautiful reverse and obverse!
Most coins are 1 oz, but for rounds, I prefer 2 oz rounds if I can get one.

@silvertop, what do you think is an ordinary size of a stack? Many years from now, I hope to hold on to my collection of silver, let go of others to convert them to gold. I should just buy gold! Silver takes so much space!

Up until recently I would say gold is holding its value better than silver @silversaver888 .....
Recently it looks like silver is holding its value better than gold Lol!!
I think you need both because of the volatility, but in the end I think gold being easier to store, and usually holding its value is a better investment......😀

I always keep them in capsules. The only exception are the American Silver Eagles which I buy numbers of each time I keep those in tubes, because it comprises a large portion of my stack. And yes, also the US Constitutional silver coins.
