The Perth Mint sixth release in the series of Swan coins with limited mintages of 25,000 of 1 oz .9999 Silver Swans.



Coin Highlights:

- Contains 1 oz of .9999 fine Silver.

- Limited mintage of 25,000 coins worldwide.

- Obverse: The Jody Clark likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination and the 2022 year of issue are depicted.

- Reverse: Portrays two swans gracefully floating on the surface of the water. The design includes the inscription "The 1 oz 9999 Australian Silver Swan" and The Perth Mint's "P" mint mark.

- Sovereign coin backed by the Australian government.

2022 Australian Silver Swan


Swans are often a symbol of love and fidelity due to their long-lasting monogamous relationships. Swans are almost entirely herbivorous, though they will eat small amounts of aquatic animals. Swans are classified as a threatened species mostly due to hunting and habitat loss, and pollution.

The first Swan coin of the Perth Mint was launched in 2017. The Swan is an iconic in that is so analogous with the Perth Mint. It is the Perth Mint Logo.

The Perth Mint’s operations are situated in the heart of Perth, the capital and largest city of Western Australia. Founded in 1829 on the shores of the Swan River, the original colony in the territory was in fact called Swan River Colony, the location of which is now Perth.


I wonder what the plans do the Pert Mint have for the Swans. It appears that they will continue with the series the way they have the Kookaburra series and the Koala series. The Kookaburra, Koala, and Kangaroo come with much higher mintages, while the Wedge Tail Eagle, Emu, and Swan are all beautiful with the lower mintage maximums.

I do not intend to sell my Swan coins. These are part of my permanent stack.

Incidentally, I bought my second Swan coin when I joined ̶s̶t̶e̶e̶m̶i̶t̶ Hive. That is almost five years ago! How time flies!!!

Silver swam is so lovely. The swans look they are almost holographic. The designs are all different !

I have seen the Swan series for a while now but I haven't added any to my stack yet. One day maybe I will, it is another great series from the Perth Mint.

If you intend to collect them, I suggest that you get the current one now.
I always buy mine as they are introduced. They came with a premium, but not too bad.
All of the Perth Mint coins are good!

Those are very nice , I recently got another coin but am shipping it back as it's supposed to be brand new but it's a bit rough on the edges and that's not right for a premium coin from the Canadian Mint

Symbolizing love; it's also nice that the two swans on the new coin make up the shape of a heart. Nice detailing on the feathers as well. I like it! Thanks for sharing sis! I wouldn't sell them either! Much love!🤗😘💞🌸

Hey @silversaver888! It is good for those time I hope we never really see! No, I haven't watched those, but I'm sure it happens all the time. I know, not that long ago, someone donated a suitcase to our church and inside of it was a silver collection that the church promptly returned to the owner! I thought you were supposed to go through pockets and things before you donate them? At least I would; you may find a forgotten hoard of cash or silver or even gold! You just never know!🏦💰

I read that years ago people would drop a Silver Dollar In a gallon of milk, and the antibacterial properties in Silver wood keep it fresh! Maybe that's why Silver stacking keeps us young!!😇

Rumour has it

Remember for a while you could not get change? Certain places – even certain restaurants did not have change to give you – so they rounded out to the closest dollar on your bill and there were several stores that just did not have change - and so what happened there was – they were taking all of our old dimes and quarters primarily and half dollars - all of that change was taken and melted down and our coinage was minted in 2022 - / reminted with the proper amounts of silver in our dimes / quarters – no longer do you have or see the copper ring on the edges – and in our 50 cent / half dollars -

The proper amount of silver has been minted into those 3 coins and they are brand spanking new – New 2022 – and we’ve seen some of them already out – in circulation – so be looking for that when you see your change –

Just don't be afraid when you pay cash for anything to ask the clerk if they have any NEW dimes or Quarters they can give you in Change and know that if they do and its 2022 that it Now has Silver minted in the Coin. I am sure we will get the full details very soon.
