I planned it and I achieved it.

On seeing the first edition for this week, I had to quickly scroll down to my first ever post which was my introductory post almost two years ago on my phone. It wasn't easy doing that but I wanted to confirm if I did make any goal for Hive when I started but no, I didn't. Then, I never thought of having a goal but within me, I know I have goals to achieve in my mind which I will work towards.
Then, I searched for the newbie initiative post I made after a month of joining Hive and I laughed at myself seeing the impossible goals I made but I wasn't understanding how Hive works then. I just said my own to fulfil all righteousness on the post 😂😂 Those are the days when we were just a newbie.
The screenshot above was when I made a goal of achieving 500 Hive Power at the end of the initiative which only lasted for a month. How was that possible? I was just starting and I only had little Hive power apart from the ones being delegated to me and I wanted to get to 500 Hive Power. An impossible achievement but I had faith then na 😅😅
The funny thing about it was saying one of the ways to achieve that in less than a month was to post once or twice a day. Haha na! Is that even possible, considering how strict and difficult Hive is except you have a strong connection with the big whales who will always show up on your posts with bigger votes, I had none but went with my strong faith.
I kept the faith going even after the end of April and I still haven't even reached half of the goal. Though, I was inactive and didn't focus on Hive. If only I'd known the benefits of staying committed to Hive then, perhaps I would have gotten past my goal by now. I was just too not serious about Hive while I focus on another blogging platform helping me even before I knew Hive.
Then comes my first anniversary on the 30th of March, this year. I managed and pushed myself to get to this amount. That day, I had 609 HP even though I have seen people having more than 1000 Hive Power and that was when I was committed to getting to that number too. It was at that time I was actively engaging on this platform day and night and I was able to build more followers and engagement on my posts.
Then comes the month of June or so, I reached my first ever 1000 Hive Power and it was on a Sunday.
This was my happiest moment because it was seen in me through my service in Church. I was just too excited that I promised myself to maintain the number and never go below it but above. Right now, I am having 1300 Hive Power. I was supposed to have 1500 but I powered down some weeks ago due to a challenge I needed to solve with my siblings.
I was motivated to reach 1000 Hive Power when I saw some users having more than that in their wallets and because of that, I pushed myself day and night to get there. My engagement paid off!
Just two months ago, I have been thinking of how to increase my Hive Power to at least get to 2000 HP before the end of this year as that is what is on my mind. I still do not know how it will be possible because I must say, I am not earning as I used to before but I am never giving up.
I have some plans to gather some money to buy Hive and then power up because I have decided not to power down anytime soon again. Even if I need money, I have some HBD in my savings that could serve that purpose while I leave my Hive Power to keep growing.
If I can't get to 2000 Hive Power before the end of this year, at least I should be having 1700+ and I believe God, including my engagement and activeness which would help me too.
I achieved my 1000 Hive Power and I can still achieve another 1000, making it 2000 soon.
