No One Knows It All

God has bestow upon all human beings the power to think and make decisions. We humans are created to choose between right or wrong, so we all decides differently on what we want in life base on our thinking and how convenient we are. But the right to think differently makes each and everyone of us unique and different from one another.

Even as a couple, you can't know what your spouse is thinking about only if you guessed or he/her speak out his/her mind. Therefore, It's not possible for everyone in a team to have the same opinion of something. If I'm in a team or within my family I love to give my opinions on things because I don't just want to be there like a figure head who goes with the majority. And I won't also do I-too-know cause I love learning from others because no one is an island of knowledge. So If I now see reasons why my opinions won't work then I would concur to the other opinions.

There was an incident regarding this prompt in a volunteered group that I belong to. We were to have a program for the teenage girls that time and our leader has giving all of us (5members) a week to draft out how the program should be. It was an amazing time as we all brainstormed together on how to make the program a success with each of us dropping ideas and opinions but there was this particular lady who has a bossy nature and feels she knows all.

She was never around for all our meet-ups and if we call her she gives fuzzy excuses that she's busy with work and other things. We were even lenient by sending her series of messages so as for her to send voice note to us on her ideas but she ignores all our messages. So the remaining four members were force to carry on with the ideas for the program and we reached an agreement.

On the day we were to submit our proposed program to the volunteered leader she showed up and came with her own proposed program. She refused to accept what the other four members had agreed on, she said we should use her own program to edit our own because she had solely worked tirelessly on it so that we can all have a successful program, then misunderstanding began.

We refused to bow to her bossy nature and when the leader interfered, she was blamed for not showing up during our meet-ups because we reported her to the leader. The leader said she can't come at the last minute and changed what a four member committee had finalized.

She refused to concur, she was still insisting that her opinion should be the one we would follow. We also stood our ground that we can't follow her opinion that we aren't daft. When she saw that she was alone and majority aren't buying her ideas she later kept quiet and succumbed.

However, we made her realise her mistakes and let her know that she can't boss people around because of what she thinks. On the long run we later include two of her numerous ideas in the program, so that it won't be like we shunned her. Everyone was happy at the end and our proposal was approved by the leader.

With this incident that happened, I realized that it's a good thing to rub mind with people so as to share opinions and learn from others as well because we all think differently and no one knows it all.
