Valentine's day……celebrating Love with impact

Hello hivians, hope you all doing good this day, am glad to share my day experience with you all here, happy Valentine’s Day to you all.

Just this morning, I bumped into a documentary which inspired me, and I asked myself this question… “What can I do to impact the young ones? I had a little self reflection and thought about how my life has actually affected the young ones lately. Indeed I saw that I was trying and I have to make it better, How committed can I be on this? ...question yet to answer.

This reflection had poised my deepest grieve and today got me doing this with my student in school. Guess what? ...Board practice

We were carrying out board practice in class today, how to use drawing instrument and materials to produce good drawings. This practice shows the correct procedure that can be used for setting the drawing paper, correct use of each drawing instrument and how to prepare borderlines, title block and good free hand lettering on technical drawing.

It was indeed a good time for the students to gain a lot.
The following instruments and materials were used during the course of this class: drawing board, Tee-square, sets-square, Pencils, mathematical sets, masking tape and drawing paper as shown below

The practice started with setting up of the board, this has to do with placing the drawing board conveniently on the table, and then the drawing paper is also placed on the drawing board leaving equal space all around as shown below:

The tee-square was used to check if the drawing paper is set horizontally straight on the board, then a masking tape was used as adhesive to hold the paper in position to the board on the four corners of the paper.

After setting up of the board, the borderlines are drawn round the four edges of the drawing paper. The borderline is also called margin. It helps to beautify the drawing as well as protect the drawing inside the drawing paper.

In drawing the borderlines, 10 mm was measured from the four edges of the drawing paper already fixed on the board and then with the help of a tee-square and setsquares, horizontal lines and vertical lines were drawn at 10 mm from the bottom edge and also from the left edge of the drawing paper respectively.

After the drawing the borderlines, this led to the preparation of a title block on the drawing paper. Title block is a little box usually drawn at the bottom right hand corner of the drawing paper containing necessary information used I the identifying a drawing such as the title of the drawing, name of the designer, scale of the drawing, etc. it helps the other s to be able to understand what the drawing is about after it has been laid out on the paper.

Today was quite a great one; really I must say the students were so happy to have involved in this class, wishing for more of the knowledge.
This have made my valentine day lucrative and of great impact…kudos to hive platform for the privilege to share this.
Love yah all………..
