Solong Eco Park

(Edited)

Our tour started at this aquarium near the comfort room that I use. This fish looks different, as it has an alligator nose and mouth. That's why it is called "alligator fish". From the appearance itself, his mother is a fish, and the husband is an alligator. Well, that's just my theory. 🤔

Welcome to Solong Eco Park! This is located in Bicol Province, directly in Albay. This is my first time here. And our tour guide volunteered to take a snap of our group.

And what comes in a park? Flowers. Or I can say a bunch of flowers...

It's beautiful to look at a place that has different kinds and colors of flowers. And this place has it. They maintained the blossoms so well that it blooms a lot.

This park also has a Pororo bridge.

Well, before I forgot... The time we went there is the day when my brother and his girlfriend is celebrating their 2nd anniversary. So, as you can see... We're just their photographer. Lol.

Anyways, nothing more exciting on that bridge... But on the other end, there's a bee house. We didn't go there as we were afraid that it might sting us.

Now, we're going to the Crystal Cave. And before we can step into that cave, we need to hike 272 steps. I didn't count it but the tour guide said it's 272. 😅

This is what they made as a walkway. A truck tire, a lot of truck tires. Imagine it has 272 steps and how many truck tires do you think it needed to accomplish this? 😅 That's a lot I can say. But this is good as it's not slippery when wet.

We go step by step and take a selfie...

Till we reach the top. It's a little bit tiring, but there's a bahay kubo where we can take a rest first and finish the whole steps.

While resting, there's a big photo frame where we can enjoy the beautiful view as a background.

I think all are energetic again so it's time to finish the few more steps to reach the crystal cave.

Finally, we reached it.

It looks like a big rock and a bat house. This cave also has a gate and a padlock on it.

Sorry for the model. He looks scary, isn't he? 😅 This gate was always closed and locked. Anyone without permission cannot easily enter it. Do you know why?

From the name itself "Crystal Cave", there's a lot of crystal inside. And the owner does the mining so a lot of holes and digging happened there.

Inside, you can see a lot of stalagmites formed from the cave.

It is amazing to see but not allowed to hold by anyone. My Mom tried to touch it but the tour guide stopped her as it can cause acidity and soon the stalagmites might die.

After that, the crystals were introduced. We keep on asking the tour guide where it can be seen as we were so curious. While walking she just picks some at the walkway, and there you go. It's crystal.

It's just scattered everywhere as you can just pick it up somewhere. There's a lot of it there, and now I can say why it's called "crystal cave". But as the tour guide said, it's strictly not allowed to get crystal there. But we got some. 🤫 She knows that. And said not to post it online. But I did now. Am I that bad? 🙈

By the way, there's a dinosaur in this cave.

Can you see it? It's not the person standing. Look at the rock formation. 👀 The tour guide said it's a dinosaur but for me, it's a chameleon. Lol.

Anyway, this cave is not the end of our journey.

We still need to go to the portal and the beautiful chocolate hills at the top.

Of course, this portal might look so spacious without a model, right? So here you go. 😂

And then at the rightmost top of this is the chocolate hills as they say.

Is it beautiful? Good thing the rain stopped and the hills are almost out and visible.

This is the last part of it. I hope you enjoy our journey. 🤗

Hi @mayt,
Great to see you using the #travelfeed tag! We launched the #travelfeed curated tag more than 3 years ago and have been supporting the best travel blogs on Hive ever since. But did you know that TravelFeed has evolved? Based on the feedback of thousands of Hive travel bloggers we created TravelFeed.io.

TravelFeed.io brings together all the benefits of Hive decentralized blogging with features that you as a travel blogger will love: Photo galleries, Instagram embeds, custom maps, post scheduling, automated adding to Pinmapple and more. And if you want, you can even use our easy site builder to set up your own travel blog on your own domain which can be a great way to generate a passive income from your blog!

Unfortunately, focussing on developing the best platform for travelers means that we no longer curate the #travelfeed tag. But, you can log in with your Hive account on TravelFeed.io to publish your next travel post, and it will be posted to Hive automatically! Every day, we select the best posts and reward them with an upvote and added visibility.

We would love to see you on TravelFeed.io soon :)

I like the idea of the walkway. Instead of dumping or throwing away those tires, we can use them as stairs. This eco park is so refreshing!

Interesting!!! This was a very interesting tour, what an adventure! I love it when I go on an adventure with a lot of friends and family, it's mostly fun. The place does look a little creepy though but I'm sure you all didn't feel that because you all were together, hehe.

It's not really nice that you showed us the crystal but I'm still happy I got to learn about the crystal cave thanks to you ☺️. But in the end, it's all thanks to #dreemport who lead me here ❤️.

It was dark inside the cave. The tour guide just brought a large flashlight to light our way and be possible to take a picture.

Yeah, I think so too about the crystal. Sorry if you feel that way regarding it.

It's a good thing there was a tour guide and you guys were many, if not I would have been a little scared, hehe.

No Mayt, you don't have to be sorry about anything, I was only agreeing with what you said, I'm actually very happy you showed it to us because I won't have gotten the opportunity to have seen a crystal if not for you 🥰.

Out of all photos, I think the "Alligator Fish" is the most interesting. I disagree with one tiny bit: The Fish isn't the Mother it's the father! Kidding, that's not how genetics work! Still a funny thought though.~

Your second to last photo posing in front of a Pipe* is good too.

What a fun post! Looks like an amazing place, mayt ❣️Great scenery... what a climb up those stairs... eish!!! I'm gonna guess somewhere in the region of 272 tyres...maybe doubled up as the stairs look wider !LOLZ whichever it is...not an easy walk by any means. You certainly had decent enough weather on the day and awesome views. !LUV (I dropped in from Dreemport this evening #dreemer for life)

Thanks for reading and commenting as well. 🤗 Those stairs are so tiring. If you don't have any warm-up, you'll get tired easily and need some rest every 10 steps. Haha. Imagine I go there while pregnant. Not easy steps I can say.
