One Day One Dollar: Snacks For Everyone

Hi, lovely people! 🙋🏼♀️
Wishing you all the best. 🌷
As of September 9, 2025, 6:50 pm, 1 US dollar equals approximately 56.71 Philippine pesos.

With that, you can buy everyday items or enjoy local food like fish balls, fresh fruits, or even local drinks.
Today's ASEAN Hive Community Challenge is about "One Day, One Dollar".
For 1 USD, what can you buy in your country?
This is a very simple challenge, but it will let you realize a lot of things.
This lovely afternoon, my hubby, our two kids, and I decided to visit the night market.

That's the place we often visit for our favorite afternoon snacks.
This time, inspired by the challenge posted by @ruffatotmeee yesterday, I thought, "Why not spend just a dollar on snacks for everyone".
So with the challenge in mind, we started picking our favorite treats.
We started with my son's beloved favorite, the Japanese cake.

We grabbed two pieces, each costing just 10 pesos ($0.18), one for Ryzen and one for Aiden.
Look at Ryzen's face as I handed him the cake, lol.

A happy kiddo!
Next, let's buy my hubby's go-to snack. It's roasted and salted peanuts.

A small pack of it will also cost you 10 pesos ($0.18).
This already satisfies my hubby.
How about my favorite snack?
It's a kwek-kwek. ☺️

I bought a few, each costing just 5 pesos ($0.08) plus my son's Ryzen craving, lumpia.
I also picked one for him.
All in all, the total came to only 15 pesos ($0.26).
Of course, no snack session is complete without a refreshing drink.

We decided to buy the fruity juice made from a mix of apples, bananas, grapes, and watermelon.

It has milk, making it a smooth tasty drink. 😋
It only costs 10 pesos ($0.18).
So because we don't have enough money to buy for two, my hubby and I just share. 😁
And that's how we completed the challenge.
We counted the remaining funds, and we were thrilled to see that we had 2 pesos ($0.03) left! 🥳

I was amazed when I realized just how far a single US dollar could stretch in feeding my family.
What might seem like a small amount of money to some can go a long way when spent wisely.
With careful planning, one dollar can satisfy everyone's cravings and favorites.
Until our next challenge...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸

A full meal is a good choice. And it will make you feel fuller than those cheaper snacks. ☺️ Plus, you have a lot of freebies there, just like you posted before. 😁
Its really possible talaga no, malaki pa rin talaga ang 1 USD. Ehe. So 5 pesos din ang Japanese came sa inyo, same hereeee, its thinner now though, dati mejo makapal pa eh. UwU.
Samin parang di naman nagbago sizing, pero 10 pesos sya... Dati 5. Hehe
You can buy a lot of things in your country with 1 usdt. However, the estate foods in the Philippines are inspired by the food that is hearty. 1 usdt is 56.71 pesos in the Philippines. This is a new experience for me. However, buying baby food for 15 pesos is really very affordable. I wish you success in today's contest.
Thank you. 1 USDT is not that big, but when we try the challenge, that's when I appreciate its value. It can feed our whole family. 😄
Yes you are right
The food snacks looks delicious! I miss eating Japanese cakes though. The kid seems to enjoy the food.
Yeah. Because he loves Japanese cake so much, it's his favorite. ☺️
