Simple celebration for my husband's 30th birthday, Thanks to Hive for making it more special.

Greetings everyone,

Yesterday we celebrated my other half's 30th birthday. A few days before I ask him what he gonna have for his birthday but he answered me softly, that he was out of budget to prepare something for his birthday.

I feel sad about it. So decided to sell half of my Hive tokens so I can prepare something simple for him. I want him to be happy on his birthday day since it was his 30th and I don't know what's the connection but we Filipinos have this joy to humbly answer that if we reached 30 it's like we achieve the last number on the calendar.

At about 7 am yesterday I decided to sell my Hive token so I can buy some stuff for the market for his birthday. I also bought him secretly a present for his birthday and I know it will give him joy. (I wrapped it before I give it to him to let him feel the excitement but then I forgot to take a photo)

Here's what I bought for him.

He's so selfless that he doesn't buy much for his own needs so bought a new uniform and a watch for his birthday. I choose this present because I know it will be useful for his work and his watch is broken already and his uniform is so dull and I want him to look presentable every time he goes to work.

From the money left I get from my Hive earning, I bought the needed things for my preparation. I bought rice and the ingredients for my dish and cook everything I can prepare for his birthday. After that, I went to a cake shop to buy some cake because I know that a birthday would not be complete without a cake.

This is the cake shop I went to. It's just a small store but they have another extension by the next town. If you travel to Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines and need some cake I advise you to come here because aside from their beautiful and delicious cakes they have other sweets to offer and a clean place with nice staffs that will entertain you right away for your needs.

After I bought the cake I went home to prepare everything for our get together for that night. Here's my simple preparation for our superman.

And the celebration would not be complete without memorable photos but unfortunately, I was not able to join the photos because our visitors are coming already and I was in a hurry to take those snaps because it's already dinner time and I want them to eat right away.

Later on, we started our salo-salo. The food was few but then I guess we have over 40 people who celebrated with us including kids from our relatives and neighbours but surprisingly the food was just right for everyone. Thankfully we had a generous friend who give us an additional cake roll for us to share.

It gives me the joy to hear my husband saying thank you for the preparation and the gift after. Ended a very memorable celebration and my big thank you to Hive for making it more special.
