To Rethread or Reblog: That is the Question
Join us for a wild intellectual romp as we untangle the threads of an intriguing dilemma.
What value does rethreading bring to the table? Would we be opening a can of worms by rethreading short-form content as well? Maybe reblogging, a cousin of rethreading, offers a simpler solution. But, dare we say, is the value of reblogging limited?
In this spirited discussion, we tackle the brain-boggling UX issues that emerge from separating posts and blogs. Do we rethread the threads themselves, or would that lead us down a rabbit hole of confusion?
As a tantalizing twist, we consider the proposition of putting rethreading behind a paywall locked by LEO power. The underlying premise being that holding LEO power is the mark of a dedicated community member, less prone to the dreaded spam invasion.
But here's a curveball: Is reblogging merely a cover for spamming, or is there a deeper purpose?

I don't think rethreads are required or its needed, it's also don't bring any value other then confusion
I don't see much of a need for rethreading. If anything at least to start it should be more of a quote rethread so you add some info and then have the original thread show under it makes more sense.
Totally agree on the quote rethreading, that would be awesome.

I think rethread is needed so that we can quote if needed and this word can be kept as Rethread instead of Reblog.
Rethreading and not saying anything is useless. Give us the ability to thread with our views on the threads that we like or wish to react.
Rethreading option will make users confuse specially when we are not separating threads and replies on our profile page.
Since it is a thread, Re-thread is good to go, and if possible let there be room to add a text to the Re-thread link like it's done in link sharing.
On a different topic, I tried to get verified on the Discord. It asks me to identify an image, but I can't see that image. Tried it on PC and mobile Discord.
By Rethreading it gets stuck quickly, Reblogging actually gets to meet alot more people faster than the opposite, which ever way is best, i think the circumstances should be weigh before any decision.
Perhaps "quote thread" is needed more.

When I was on Twitter I retweeted content that I thought would be useful to my audience. I do that with reblogging on Hive too. If there is a post here on threads that links to an article I might like to save that isn't from Hive I'd like to be able to rethread it to my profile.
I see value in sharing the reply that @lisamgentile1961 made.
I also appreciate it when people reblog my content and reblogging has value when your project involves several account.
People fearing spam is just noise to me. I almost said white noise but I would have to go back to some of my old field work to confirm. !lol Seriously, spam is good. There is a period in my life where eating spam was survival. It is a matter of perspective. For example, when I first started here my impression was #LeoFinance is very overwhelming. Not to insult but I would not say all the postings were of high quality. And some earned unrealistic rewards. Of course, my philosophy being learn before you earn, met that I did have to go down a rabbit hole to learn more about the reward system. And now to hear that features may be restricted based on staked tokens? Hmm, I am all for paying more for a value added feature but, if based on how much dough you hold, is that not building a gated community? Some thoughts that came to mind after watching and reading. Thank you for the info. Much appreciated.

I don't see any option yet to reblog on the Leofinance app. Is this on the to-do list? Reblogging would probably be better. I want to reblog this article, but I have to find it first on PeakD or Ecency to do this.
