My plans for detty December.

Several times, I have been challenged by people for always taking the Christmas holiday so seriously just because I am a Muslim and I don't understand why people think that someone who doesn't practice Christianity shouldn't celebrate with Christians. Although my mom married into a Muslim family but I was raised by my grandmother who is a Christian before I embraced my dad's religion.

Looking at things from both perspectives, I have come to believe that God is one and it's important that we do away with our differences. Our way of worship might be different but we call unto the Almighty God and he answers us.

I have lots of Christian family and friends which always made Christmas awesome for me. Who doesn't like all the yummy and delicious food that will be prepared that day? Although I am not a heavy eater but I love to eat a variety of food and a festive season just like Christmas is perfect to satisfy my craving for numerous foods.

I have different plans for Christmas and I am looking forward to them. A few days ago, my aunt's husband reached out to me to know if I would be coming to Lagos and that tells me that he is putting me into his plans for the celebration.
My biggest plan at the moment is to get my new phone in a few days when I arrive in Lagos. I have mentioned the challenges I have with my phone and would be happy to see it end very soon. I don't have all the money yet and my savings on Hive would be of great support. On my arrival to Lagos, I will get a new phone and it's nothing other than an iPhone.

Among the things I want to do this Christmas is visit my aunts and uncles who live in Lagos. I haven't spent time with my cousins throughout the year and it would be a perfect time for us to have fun, interact and create beautiful memories again. Last year, we went to the Cinema and fun park, I know they are planning something huge again so I can't say what exactly but it would be fun.

My class reunion happens in December but we are yet to fix a date for this year due to some reasons and I hope we conclude on something before the week runs out. Every year, this reunion is one of the things I am always looking forward to.

The holiday allows students to relax and spend time with their family so it would be a good opportunity for old friends to sit together again to gist and talk about life. The reunion is always part of my plans during the holiday and I wouldn't miss it for any reason.

Spreading love is the main purpose of the season and I wouldn't do anything less than that with my friends and family. I have gotten a few gifts for my younger cousins in Lagos and I am sure they will love it.

I can't wait to see the holiday commence fully and I pray that the Almighty God will make the celebration a peaceful and happy one for us all. Amen.

Christmas celebration is for everyone, since we worship the same God so I didn’t see any problem with a Muslim celebrating Christmas.
