Mi domingo musical Mermelada Bunch - Comando Borracho / My Musical Sunday Bunch Jam - Drunken Commando
Mermelada Bunch - Comando Borracho
Hoy mi domingo musical. Mermelada Bunch - Comando Borracho

Today is my musical Sunday. Bunch Jam - Drunken Commando
Today is my musical Sunday, and this song that the playlist randomly chose took me back to one of the best eras of my life. Well, one of the best, because I have had many great times in my life, but this one in particular really makes me remember Caracas.
On many occasions I have mentioned that I do not drink alcoholic beverages; it is a personal decision that I do not regret. When I go out with someone who tries to force me to drink, that is the last day they are my friend. Those who respect me and care for me know that I do not drink. I prefer to eat, and I have said it a million times: I like to eat and I enjoy it.
Now then, why does this song bring back such good memories? Believe it or not, I used to belong to a "drunk squad," hahaha, yes, just as you read it. The time I am referring to was when I lived in Caracas, and right in the month of August, the gaitas would start playing in the city. At work, a party squad for the gaitas would form and we would go out every day. We were about 10 people, and all of us fit into a blue Malibu.
Since I didn't drink, I was the designated driver. Consequently, I was the one who had to haul around all those drunk friends of mine, who would all buy me food. They knew I didn't drink and they respected me, so they would always buy me something to eat. And best of all, I used to dance with my buddies' girlfriends—please don't misunderstand, when I say I danced with them, it's because while my friends were drinking at those parties, I was out on the dance floor with them.
The lyrics of this song by my guys from Mermelada Bunch fit perfectly with what happened during those party days, where we would connect one Monday right into the next Monday. Honestly, I didn't hold anything back; the party was every single day, and my buddies drank every day, just like the song says.
