I have also widened my horizon by reading the comics my eldest daughter has recommended. In her case manga (and yes, no doubt that Scott Pilgrim is inspired by the Japanese). I think it is a sign of your open mindedness that you jump aboard these new things. Many people just stay with the same cultural fare.

There is so much out there to enjoy so I will check out what I can. I don't worry so much about what some people might say I should read though. It has to be fun.

No, there's there's also no reason to conform to some mainstream standard. But it seems most people need a predictable social room. I sometimes think that peoples anxiety and need for safety is to blame for a lot of this worlds problems. I can't compete with hatred, envy, greed and anger of course :)
