Today I just needed to be at home, the day was quite grey from early in the morning and that makes me not want to go out for my morning walk.... So after a light breakfast consisting of bread, coffee, yoghurt and a couple of bananas (ok, not "as light" as it should be) I proceeded to take my camera along with my 100 macro lens to wander around a bit and relax among the gardens and backyard... I actually took only a few pictures, as soon as I considered I had enough I went to my desk, turned on my PC and started editing some...

Hoy necesitaba simplemente estar en mi casa, el día estuvo bastante gris desde temprano y eso hace que no quiera salir a por mi caminata mañanera... Así que después un ligero desayuno consistente pan, café, yogur y un par de bananos (bien, no "tan ligero" como debería ser) procedí tomar mi cámara junto con mi lente macro 100 para deambular un poco y relajarme entre los jardines y el patio trasero... En realidad hice pocas fotos, apenas consideré que tuve suficientes me fui a mi escritorio, encendí mi PC y me puse a editar algunas...

Well, you didn't think I was going to post pictures here and deprive myself of saying a lot of coherent and incoherent words relating to pictures or anything else that crosses my battered head.... Those who know me know that I tend to write as much as I take pictures!... (actually it's something that was recommended to me by a behavioural disorder specialist many years ago.... I think the poor guy was a bit unhinged, but he was a good person).

Bien, no pensarían que iba a colocar fotos aquí y me iba a privar de decir un montón de palabras coherentes e incoherentes relativas a las fotos o a cualquier cosa otra cosa que pase por mi maltratada cabeza... ¡Los que me conocen saben que suelo escribir tanto como tomar fotos!... (en realidad es algo que me recomendó un especialista en trastornos de conducta hace ya muchos años... Creo que el pobre estaba algo desquiciado, pero era una buena persona)

Regarding this photo, it is a small spider belong genus Thomisidae waiting for some stupid insect to come to feed and then rape it (or rather "drink it").

Con respecto a esta foto, es una pequeña araña del género Thomisidae esperando a que algún estúpido insecto llegue a alimentarse para entonces violarlo (o mejor dicho "bebérselo")

Can you see what I'm saying...? A few minutes go by and a bee appears bzzzzzz.... bzzzzzzz... It lands on the flower... By all the devils little girl, are you blind?... Ready!... There's a fat white stingray there waiting to eat your entrails for breakfast!... It's no use, these little bees only think about the flower... It's already turned into "Bee juice"... :(

¿Pueden ver lo que estoy diciendo?... Apenas pasan unos minutos y apareces una abeja bzzzzzz.... bzzzzz... Se posa en la flor... Por todos los diablos pequeña ¿acaso estás ciega?... ¡Listo!... ¡Hay una raña blanca y gorda allí esperando para desayunar tus entrañas!... No tiene caso, estas pequeñas abejas solo piensan en la flor... Ya se ha convertido en "Jugo de abeja" :(

And talking about spiders... Their webs are tiny portents when they dawn full of dewdrops... I could write a thousand poems looking at these small miracles with crystal drops... If it weren't for the fact that when I look at them I remember that it started raining in this country in April and it hasn't stopped until today... Then being that the humidity covers everything, it even seems to enter through that part where the back stops being called the back...

Y hablando acerca de arañas... Sus telas son diminutos portentos cuando amanecen repletas de gotas de rocío... Yo podría escribir mil poemas mirando estos pequeños milagros con gotas de cristal... Si no fuera porque al observarlas recuerdo que este este país comenzó a llover en Abril y no ha parado hasta hoy... Entonces siendo que la humedad lo cubre todo, incluso parece entrar por esa parte en onde la espalda deja de llamarse espalda...

A tiny and graceful butterfly, feeding on a purple flower as beautiful as it is... Both seem to be taken from another context, from another climate even... But it's all because some flowers from the dry season are still growing in pots, cultivated by my wife or my mother, who knows? I hope the hungry spiders don't discover those flowers there, because they will surely end up "drinking" the guts of the little butterflies too!... Sometimes I've wanted to go out with insecticide in hand and kill these spiders... But I remember reading several times (and watching on useless cable TV channels and Netflix) that it's not good to do such things as it "interrupts the natural flow of destiny" and the whole universe could collapse and make us crap or something similar... I think that's the way it is...

Una mariposa diminuta y grácil, liba en una flor morada tan hermosa como ella... Ambas parecen sacadas de otro contexto, de otro clima inclusive... Pero todo se debe a que algunas flores de la estación seca siguen creciendo en macetas, cultivadas por mi esposa o mi madre, quien sabe... ¡Espero que las hambrientas arañas no descubran esas flores allí, pues seguramente terminarán "bebiéndose" las tripas de las pequeñas mariposas también!... A veces he querido salir con insecticida en mano y acabar con estas arañas... Pero recuerdo haber leído varias veces (y visto en inútiles canales de TV por cable y Netflix) que no es bueno hacer esas cosas pues "se interrumpe el flujo natural del destino" y todo el universo podría colapsar y hacernos porquería o algo similar... Creo que es así el asunto...

Hello, I'm a dumb and slow dragonfly!.... I am usually moved by looking at these insects.... But my mood today borders on absolute bitterness.... it's raining, raining, raining and raining again!.... And then this poor bug watches me as it tries to get some sunlight I imagine.... (just like me)...

¡Hola, soy una libélula tonta y lenta!... Usualmente me conmuevo al mirar estos insectos... Pero mi humor de hoy raya en la amargura absoluta... ¡llueve, llueve, llueve y vuelve a llover!... Y entonces este pobre bicho me observa mientras intenta conseguir algo de luz solar imagino... (al igual que yo)...

Dandelions are beautiful... Yes, beautiful of course... Have you ever been in a damned tropical country where it rains like hell for 6 months and then there is a huge drought for another 6 months?... Then of course I think dandelions are beautiful!... I need things to be beautiful so I don't go crazy!...

Los dientes de león son hermosos... Sí, hermosos claro... ¿Han estado en un condenado país tropical en donde llueve a mares durante 6 meses y después llega una enorme sequía durante otros 6 meses más?... ¡Entonces claro que lo dientes de león me parecen hermosos!... ¡Necesito que las cosas me parezcan hermosas, para no enloquecer!...

This foam appears in some puddles of water in the courtyard, which never seem to dry up... I suppose they belong to some kind of frogs that come out during the night and lay their eggs there... So before long we'll probably be full of tiny frogs squeaking all night long here!.... :( Last year they reached "plague" status and my cats won't eat them....

Esta espuma aparece en algunos charcos de agua en el patio, los cuales parecen no querer secarse nunca... Supongo que pertenecen a algún tipo de ranas que salen durante la noche y ponen sus huevecillos allí... ¡Entonces en breve seguramente estaremos repletos de diminutas ranas chillando durante todas la noche aquí!... :( El año pasado alcanzaron categoría de "plaga" y mis gatos no se las comen...

Well, I hope I haven't bared too much humour today.... But I need to do this kind of catharsis often, as I'm not exactly what some people call a "balanced and rational person"... So that's why I take photos and then write things to those photos... It's like the heavy water that cools down the plutonium rods and all that bullshit they say in the movies... In short.... This has been a good exercise... Now my breakfast has been digested in an excellent way... And it's raining again!... Oh my!... It's like India and the monsoon!...

Bien, espero no haber desnudado demasiado muy humor de hoy... Pero necesito hacer este tipo de catarsis con frecuencia, pues no soy precisamente lo que que algunos suelen llamar una "persona equilibrada y racional"... Así que por eso hago fotos y luego le escribo cosas a esa fotos... Es como el agua pesada que enfría las barras de plutonio y todas esas pendejadas que se dicen en las películas... En fin.... Esto ha sido un buen ejercicio... Ahora mi desayuno ha sido digerido de manera excelente... ¡Y está lloviendo de nuevo!... ¡Cielos!... ¡Es como la india y su monzón!...
