[Sketchtember 2023 W3 ] Picture

Hello!

Hi, hi, people! 😊 We are almost halfway through September. In the Philippines, where I live, Christmas starts in September, 🤣 the first ber of the ber months. Some local Christmas songs are now playing on radio and television. That's the Filipino way. 😆 We do not have Christmas decorations yet coz everyone is busy, lol. But for sure, we will put up our Christmas lights around November.

For week 3, the prompts to choose from are sweater, picture, and redesign a character. I chose picture! 😄 See @artpark's post here for more info.

• This art is inspired by my NFT Pinky already sold to @unschool. Thank you so much! 🥰 I like redrawing my NFTs to anime art style. 😁 Since the prompt is "picture", Pinky is taking a selfie with her black cat.

I can relate much to the word picture coz one of my hobbies is photography. I got interested in photography when I had my first camera. Most of the time, I am in charge of taking pictures during family gatherings. I also posted some of my macro photography here on Hive. Sadly, due to the weather and schedule, I find it hard to get the motivation. I have some pictures taken from different days, so I have to cherry-pick and edit them first before posting.

• Apply the base color by using the color-pick tool. The strawberry print on the clothing is manually drawn and then copied and pasted then I position them randomly. Same with the phone, manually drawn and with the aid of references. On another layer, apply details such as blush, shadowings, and eye shine. I chose a pastel shade of purple for the background.

Final Art

Apply the shine to the hair using a soft brush and airbrush. Clip another layer on top of the base layer and put it on multiply mode for the shadowing of the clothing. I made a background shadow by copying and pasting the folder of layers and merging them all. Alpha lock the layer and color it black, then set the opacity to 20 percent.

Finished art!! 🥰 I enjoyed doing this art.
